It may be less expensive to buy a cheap PC rather than a new droid ;)

Ok... I'm gonna ask some pretty obvious questions. All with the attempt to try and help.

I'm working under the assumption that you properly rooted you phone since you had ROM Manager installed... and you state that you tried to "unroot".

When you flashed using Rom Manager I'm also assuming that you created a Backup of your present Rom.

Now when you got to the point that your where ready to install the new ROM.... Cyanogen 5.0.5.3, you would have had to flash clockwork first. It wont let you into any other part of ROM Manager unless you do this first... correct.

So... that being said. If you turn the phone completely off (pull the battery if it does not go off)... hold down the X button on your keyboard... keep it depressed...while turning the phone on. After a moment it should load into Clockwork Recovery.

If you can get to this point.... or have already gotten to this point and are frustrated because you cant go past it..... post back and we can help. Your phone isn't bricked... just shy of dropping it in the terlet you really can't brick it.

Also... first and foremost.... make certain you plug your phone in and let if FULLY charge. Nothing can be fixed on any phone with an almost dead battery.

or like i said dual boot so if something ever happens again which it may you have it and dont have to have an extra 200 bucks to go pick up a cheap pc to fix it then return. why do something the hard way when your mac is capable of dual boot

You don't need to buy a new one. Use an sbf file to save it. Check the live without fear of bricking thread that is stickied

edit just read your whole post. You gotta know someone with a pc that can help you out

Maybe not...only 90% of the population uses PC's. I think the OP lives at a university...where the only computers are Mac's :p

a university...where the only computers are Mac's :p

the truth of this statement makes me so sad...surrounded by silly uniformed college students

but kidding aside, OP you must be able to find a pc somewhere. local library maybe? Go knock on your neighbor's door lol

Ha ha ha funny guys. But ya, I think I just have to find someone with a PC. I don't live in the dorm and I think the Dual boot will be a good idea, just have to get windows now.

Sorry me brotha... just a little light fun.. :D

Now since your a college student it's save to assume your probably broke..... but then again.... since you own a MAC it may mean that your rich... sooooo

You'll still have to buy an off the shelf copy of Windows7... but since your a student I would ask your computer / tech center at the school if they could hook you up. None the less... if you wanted to do it yourself this IS the way to go... forget about that dual boot nonsense.... thats for old guys like us. ;)

EDIT: ... there is a trial download as well...

Also... my suggestion from 5pm this afternoon doesn't require a computer at all... did you have any luck on that front?.
