If you watch the video HTC Sense on the nexus one (desire ROM) he mentions that the Sense UI is still alpha version and has a few bugs such as the light that stays on in the upper right hand corner. If you watch a regular video of the nexus one this light is not on. If one then watches the video of the HTC incredible that was leaked with the sense UI you also notice there is a light on in the upper right hand corner. Thus my theory is that the Verizon version of the N1 is the incredible and the leaked video had the desire ROM running thus why it had Sense UI. Maybe the verizon version of the nexus one has different specs and will be sold in stores????

This post got me thinking.... It seems to me that everybody has been poking and prodding HTC & Verizon for info on the Incredible. But has anybody tried a "backdoor" approach to finding info? Such as: Poking & Prodding companies that sell phone accessories to see if they have anything coming out for the HTC Incredible? If we can find a release date for an accessory then it should coincide closely with a release date for the phone. Case Manufactures, InvisibleSHIELD, Ghost Armor, etc.... You would think that Verizon would try to sell you accessories as well when you go in to buy the phone.

I sent an email to InvisibleSHIELD to ask if/when they will be making one for the Incredible.

First post BTW. Been "lurking" for a few days now. :D

Well.....

This website

Vehicle Power Adapters, Mobile Devices, Charging, In-Vehicle | TESSCO 800 472 7373

sells cell accessories and under their UStarcom produced stuff there's a microUSB cable that's listed to fit the Dell Aero, some others, and the ADR6300....

I like how it's listed as the ADR6300 and not the as-yet-unconfirmed Incredible name....

Anyone find any others?

the light was on in incredible vid b/c the phone was plugged into the wall charger...

There is no such thing as a salesmen that would say "wait for this and don't buy today"

I went to the Apple store yesterday and asked about the portable i7 laptops coming out soon and the manager said unheard of (although we all know it is just a matter of weeks)

April will hopefully be the month guys...hopefully

You would think that there is no such thing as a sales man that would say that but when I was in the Verizon store a couple days ago I also heard a sales rep tell a guy not to buy the Moto Droid and wait for a "new phone just like the Droid without a keyboard" I was surprised and intrigued but he didn't say when it would be released.. Obviously I am assuming it is the Incredible he was talking about.

The theory of the Nexus One being the HTC Incredible also doesn't work in this manner.

The HTC Incredible has an optical trackpad, even in the video we can tell its optical. The Nexus One has a trackball. The Nexus One is also a lot more rounded and cury while the HTC Incredible is following the style of being more boxy kind of like the HD2 and EVO.

Nexus one is gonna be the same for all carriers. Check Google.com/phone and click get phone. There you see that Google has plans for this phone to be available for verizon in spring. that said, the light on the type right hand corner of the htc incredible is prolly the charging indicator.

Wow, we are now talking about news as old as the Shadow? That rumor was started months ago and then we didn't hear anything.

BTW, Steven, no meant harm. LOL

Thanks guys for the response, by the way the video has been reposted on youtube where they said it was either the supersonic or the incredible. Just type HTC incredible into youtube. Tell me if you see an optical track pad at 5 sec.

As i've said a couple posts above.

It's an optical trackpad, this was discussed like a month ago when it was first released. Someone touched up on the video making it brighter and we were clearly able to see an optical trackpad.

Hi all. This is my first post and probably all I will be able to contribute. I was in a Verizon corporate store (Atlanta) today and was speaking to the manager. I asked him when the next batch of android phones were coming out and he said that the Nexus One would be coming out this spring. I then asked him about the HTC Incredible. He said this..." HTC hasn't decided between Verizon or Sprint for that phone. Since Sprint just unveiled their new HTC phone, we hope they will still decide to release the Incredible with Verizon"

I am unsure of how reliable the information is, but hopefully he wasn't just BS'ing me. So if that is true, I am thinking a summer release for the Incredible.

sorry if I got into the middle of something that had been going on.

No one? Ok, I'll keep looking. Maybe if I boost my post count up it'll give me more street-cred? ;)

Sorry, we all did. It's all over the internet and has been for weeks. It doesn't really mean much, though. Welcome!

Thanks for the salutation...

I've found lots of generic placeholder type inventory listings in Amazon, etc. talking about chargers for HTC Incredible blah blah...

This was the first one I found that actually mentioned the phone by model number ADR6300 instead of the codename... that's why I thought it notable.

I'll keep looking.

This flies in the face of every reported fact regarding the timeline for VZW's LTE rollout, including statements from VZW at CTIA less than 2 days ago.

Source?

There are two sources that post on Moto threads on howardforums. They were so on leaking/confirming information from a couple of months (at least when I started following the threads) before the droids release. Both I believe work for Motorola, I thought one was a PM, but I'm not totally sure.

Ughhh, why are there like no good android phones out. Theres only like the Nexus One right now, which is technically only on T-mobile with subsidized price.

This waiting is killing me, i might just get a blackberry and be done with it all.

You're right about that.. .we only saw the ones for the incredible not the model #

I have an admission. I've been cheating on the Incredible and late at night sneaking over to the Shadow forum there.

Their insiders have said May/June for the Shadow, no keyboard, and like you said September/October for the Droid 2, physical keyboard, which may support LTE. The longer I wait for the Incredible the more it seems like it might be worthwhile to wait for one of these two.

The Shadow's specs sound impressive but I really like Sense. Can someone love two phones....especially since neither really exist at this point? :D

It's tough waiting. One of the moto guys said you can disable blur with a code, so at least you can go stock. I think 2.1 is pretty enough, and the other moto guy said the next android update (Froyo) changes things even more. Also, maybe the sense ui port to the droid will be usable on the shadow with some tweaking.

Unless the release dates between the shadow and incredible are within a month my intention is to buy two Incredibles (one for the wife) and then buy a shadow and ebay my Incredible, unless something goes drastically wrong with the shadow. While LTE sounds great, we aren't sure the cost for customers yet. I'd be surprised if my area (Philly, well south jersey) took long for the upgrade as we already have 21mpbs for TMobile and 4G for sprint/clearwire. Maybe I'll make the Nexus whatever number they are on my first LTE phone as long as it has a 4.3" screen.

Not true for me: I've had VZ salesmen say that to me when they knew something big was coming out.

I feel you both are right...

if salesman works on commission = a lot less likely to say "don't buy today, wait till product xxxxxx comes in"

if salesman does NOT work on commission = definitely have had them tell me to wait for another product to come in

just my $.02

I went to that site and found that that company: PCD - Personal Communications Devices has 5 items listed for a AND6300 Inedible & Incredible AND6300. All of which are "Out of Stock". I emailed them to ask when their PCD Extended Battery and Door P/N BTE6300VW would be in stock.

I know its a long shot and it might just be wishful thinking, but, if they say it will be available on such and such a date we might expect the same time frame for the Incredible.
