geez... i can't believe how many razrs are on this forum. lol

i thought my omnia was outdated. you guys are gonna be in a whole new world man... lol

I'll see your Razrs and lower you one ... I've been putting up with a Motorola W175. The thing doesn't even let me change ringtones or add wallpapers, I am SO ready to ditch Big Blue, if only Big Red would come out with something nice before Big Yellow does.

But, at this point, I am for anything that isn't from Big Blue.

I know that I am thinking about getting the N1 when it comes out and wait for the Incredible. Anyone else who is thinking about this should know that Google only has a 14 day return period, not the 30 days that verizon allows.

Edit: they also charge a $45 restocking fee for returns.

Looks like I'm waiting for the Inc.

Yep. I've decided that I'm getting a N1 at release and if Verizon/HTC doesn't have an announcement for the Incredible by then, I am definitely keeping the N1.

I've thought hard about this all night and I've decided I just can't wait for them any longer. I'm stuck with a crappy razr with a bad battery and need to get into the Android world.

Could this be true?! If so, the oft-delayed Incredible may just fall off my very short wish list.

Look at the small font too. The TMobile one says with individual contract etc etc. The Verizon one just says with a plan which would include family it seems.

I would love for this to happen just in case they announce a fall release for the Incredible or something, God forbid.

The moderators should make it possible for anyone to look at the first post and pick from 3 or 4 pre type posts to just copy and paste:

1. I went into my local verzion store and came away thinking i knew more then them.
2. I found this on the web....have you seen this before? and link to something from January.
3. Does anyone know when the incredible will be released?
4. My friend is a VP for HTC and we went out to dinner last night and he had a box on the seat marked "do not open until...." on it...there was some other mail covering the date and i didn't get a picture. sorry!!!!

You forgot the "Verizon must be getting ready to announce someting big because the testman site is down" posts.

so I offically sent back my droid I got from Amazon. Had about 3 days left.

This was my first time with verizon so if I call vz and switch to an old phone (a friend is going to let me borrow one) I should be able to upgrade later on for a Inc or N1 correct?

I've also decided that i will just get a Nexus One if it comes out within like a week. I've also been greatly weighing the pros and cons of each phone.

To me, truthfully and honestly. I love to have the best, this goes for anything from shoes to computers. Now that im thinking about it, i also don't feel like i can wait for the HTC Incredible any longer.

I've thought about it. They are virtually the same phone, HTC Incredible has a better camera (honestly, 8 megapixels or not, it won't beat a typical digital camera). It's got HTC Sense (Okay this may play a bigger factor) but after looking at it. Android 2.1 is virtually the same on either phone even with HTC Sense. Sense gives 7 home screens and like i think 1 exclusive live wallpaper. Thats about it.......maybe the keyboard is better but im not positive on this.

Virtually everything else is the same, snapdragon, RAM (unless incredible gets 1gb but thats pushing the limits considering the EVO only has 512mb also, 1gb is overkill right now anyway, unless your gonna run like 30 apps simultaneously).

I personally think the Nexus One looks better on the design also, the rounded edges and curves it has plus its slim design is just plain sexy. Trackball lights up for that nice little touch. Honestly, trackball vs track pad.......WHO THE HELL CARES!!! ITS A TOUCHSCREEN PHONE. Honestly, tell me how many times are you going to use the trackball/tackpad over just swiping with your finger. Im gonna go with the trackball/trackpad are barely ever going to get used so it doesn't really play a factor. It only plays a factor in blackberries where you can only use it to navigate.

Basically, the only difference between the two phones is HTC Sense UI, and 8 megapixel camera. Everything else is virtually the same even though personally, HTC Sense over stock android 2.1 doesn't seem that much of a difference, especially with live wallpapers being the same on either phone and i know all of you will use the sick live wallpapers.

If the Nexus One comes out, im picking that baby up now, can't wait any longer. And if the Incredible comes out like 2 weeks later, you know what, i won't regret my purchase and i won't return it either. The Nexus One is a beauty of a device itself and it looks better IMHO. The Incredible also doesn't have a ton going for it to make it a huge deciding factor besides the 8 megapixel camera and Sense (which doesn't seem that different from stock 2.1)

Just my .02 cents.

Yes, but the Incredible also has an 8GB moviNAND, most likely a larger sd card, the ability to use NE2 discount, and verizon wireless support on top of everything else you mentioned.

Are you still going to get the N1?

So...I go into my local VZ corporate store today and browse at their available phones. I also am up for my NE2 and thought I would take another look at the Droid. After messing around with it for 5 minutes or so I decided to look at the other smart phones as well. HTC Touch 2, Palm, Omnia, Eris...none of them have what I want which is the complete package of the Incredible. Before I leave the store I open the web browser on 4 of these phones and google the HTC EVO. As I walk out of the store each of these phones is displaying the EVO as large on the screens as I could get them. I know, childish, but I hope other shopers see the EVO and ask the sales people "Hey!...Can I get a phone like this here?" I think i'm locked onto holding out for the Incredible. :)

I haven't seen the "Voice to Text" feature on any of the latest HTC Desire Video Reviews on YouTube. Hopefully I've missed it or it's just being overlooked by the reviewers but that would be a concern for me. I really hope to see this feature available in Sense 2.1 because I believe I would rely on it while on the road.

Has anyone seen or heard anything that would indicate it NOT being an available function for Sense 2.1?

How would the Verizon N1 NOT have Verizon Wireless support?

Because it will be sold just like the subsidized T-Mobile version only at google.com/phone, so Google and HTC are the only ones who handle it. Verizon is just a part of it for the network and plans, not like customer service or replacements.

Also, this isn't directly to you, but i'm Sooo tired of anyone who says that the Verizon Nexus One will be sold in stores. It won't. Period. It will be exactly like the Tmo version. but with CDMA bands (possibly world phone).

hahaaha
dude, youre just like me in the way that you've weighed both phones thoughtfully...
whats your opinion on the poor quality of the touch buttons on the nexus one?
