Looks like New Mexico (where I live) won't be getting 4G... =(
And I was reading up in search engines trying to find if it will or not, but couldn't find no info. And came across a page saying Wimax is a good initial step to move things along in the phone industry, but how in the near future its population will be much lower than those of who will be on verizons and Att's new networks coming at the end of this year and into 2011 (network coverage wise).
Here is the article here;
Sprint names new WiMax markets, soldiers on in 4G battle
Despite my hometown not getting 4G, I still will probably make the switch just because this phone is so perfect for me
Unfortunately, we don't have WiMAX where I live either and there's no word when to expect it. Just the same, I have faith that we're getting it, and the sooner the better. I can't help but think about the rumors saying
Wal-Mart might put WiMAX towers on the top of their stores. That would be really good, if they did. According to the map in this link, you might be lucky to get coverage, especially if you have a Wal-Mart near by.
wonder how long it will take to get a pound of dust under the screen

a bitter Sprint hero owner
I've had the Hero since last October and I don't have the problem, but I've read a lot of posts in the Nexus One forum where people were complaining about the same thing. At least you're lucky enough to not have poop under the glass like
this guy has. Follow the link if you would like something to laugh about.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for joining in and for making this forum what it is.
Most of the big excitement for the week is over and it has been slow in this thread today, so I took the time to look over all of the previous posts. I have to say I'm very impressed with everyone's input. A lot of thought provoking ideas were presented and good answers given. I'm very pleased with the way the information has flowed and it has stayed on-topic very well.
Just in the past week, we've had over 20,000 views and there are over 800 posts. That's really impressive. There have been 1000's of views and a lot of posts in other threads as well in the EVO 4G forum. It's nice to be involved with such an enthusiastic group of people with a common interest.
Thanks again for your participation!
Bill
@phatning
When I was looking over the thread today, I noticed these three posts:
phatning #152 - I was a long-time AT&T customer and recently ported all my 5 lines to Sprint after reading your posts on WiMAX and SS. Surely enough, 2 weeks after I did that, Google announced AT&T 3G N1!!!
billsmed # 154 - I didn't think anyone was reading my WiMAX/Supersonic posts. Boy, are you ever going to be upset with me if I'm wrong about everything, but I hope you'll end up thinking is was
the best move you ever made.
phatning #156 - Bill, I will let you know next Tuesday.
I don't think you mentioned anything to me on Tuesday, did you?
I don't think Bemis is a bad guy just too much stress maybe he needs to get laid and let it all out.
Now back to our regularly scheduled broadcast...
Newsflash!
The HTC Evo was seen today trying to crawl in through my back basement door, he has not been seen since.
