Root sense battery

Ok well we can probably help with that but you haven't provided anything about your setup to help us help you. Are you letting your kernel settle? Don't pass judgment for three days after flashing. Are you syncing data frequently? Are you roaming a lot? Do you leave 4g on all the time? How much screen time and awake time do you get out of a typical charge?

No matter what kernel sense kernel I tried I dont get good battery life:(
Do I remember correctly you trying Mikg, Decks reloaded, different kernels etc and also do I remember you letting kernels settle in etc.?
I wanna say that you did and I recall you saying your battery was over a year old, so perhaps I think its time for a new battery.
I think you were also advised about the screen brightness, signal strength, syncing, internet usage/surfing/game playing, etc.
Did you take into account all of those battery draining causes?
I recommend and Anker 1700mah battery for more longevity without the bulk. (thats what I use)
Or, a 3500mah battery but adds bulk (need a bigger battery cover with that)

How much longer does the anker 1700mah battery give you over the stock battery? I only have the two stock ones that came with my phone, but I'm considering getting an extended one.

Well, for me, the stock battery, on average, lasted about 12 hrs with my average usage.
The Anker, with no change in phone usage habits, lasts about 16 hours or so.
So, those 4 or so more hours is worth it for me.
:D

Cool. I will look into it once my battery start dying on me. At the moment its fine but I haven't had my phone for a year yet, so my battery does me well enough at the minute:)

As regards to the op, what is your expectation for 'good battery life'?

I have setcpu max 499 min 245 ondemand, deadline
Classic rom + chop suevy kernel
I have everything off I only turn 3g on when needed

No wakelocks and with moderate use about 4 hours with out moderate use about couple days

Digital Karma7.77 was the second best sense rom kernel combo that worked on my phone it has the sbc sense kernel. The best combo on my phone is stock 4.67 with stock kernel. But thats my phone most will disagree with that. all phones are a little different with battery. you just have to keep trying different combos untill you get it right for your evo.
If you are doing heavy gameing realy nothing but a charger will help with that.

I'd kill for a couple days with minimal use. (well, not kill, but ya know):)
I get 24 hrs with minimal use.
Perhaps as mikem said, gaming is a killer but with a charger, problem solved but not always possible eh?

Yeah I like digital karma but trying classic and am i able to flash netarch I don't think I can because its froyo and what combination was it

yeah netarchy toastmod is a froyo kernel. it will not work with gingerbread sense roms. it will break a lot of things, if you try it. well not break but things like the camera will not work.

No, the more undervolting the better battery life.

Aggressive is the most undervolted in the freedom series.

Not all phones can handle that voltage, but others can go even lower

I get around 2.5 to 3 hours of screen time and 4-6 hours of awake time on my anker 1700 battery but again, it all depends on how I'm using it.
