who needs an incredible when there is the Droid! i just bought one and love it. i want HTC to know it to. HTC needs somebody at VZW needs to get there shit together if they are going to fair well. the droid is actually an incredible phone, it is ashamed that the droid has lost sales due to the rumors and hype and various bullshit release dates. i guarantee you i would buy it before i bought a POS N1. if the Inc has the exact same screen i would very likely keep the Droid. i dont want anything to do with the exact screen as the N1.

This is all based on specs that were leaked. The droid has half the processor and less ram/rom and no movinand. tft vs Amoled screen 5 mp vs 8 mp Camera no sense UI on Droid. Now past that I agree that the Droid is a great phone and if no announcement this week I will be buying one from fleabay until the incredible comes out. As for the the screen on the N1 and the Incredible NEITHER will come with the same problems that the other N1's have I believe that it is a 2.1 software problem as the phones are both delayed and the upgrades the day supposed to be released are postponed. If you look at the touch pro2 getting android on it there is a touchscreen problem... Yet there was not a problem with the touchscreen with WM 6.5 on it. The problem lies with 2.1
This is my opinion and so I do not have any sources to back it up. If I am wrong them i am wrong. So if you want to flame go ahead I know my skillz and remember everyone......

any changes to hardware requires a re-certification from the fcc it is software
Go to User CP, Edit Options, and under Messaging & Notification set Default Thread Subscription Mode to "No email notification".

I know this is the Incredible thread but could this possibly speed up the realease of the Incredible and the Verizon N1??
According to the article, Sprints facebook page is saying that the Evo should be released on April 16th, which is months before the original release date of summer 2010.

The EVO hasn't even gone through the FCC has it? Either way I really doubt April 16th for a release. Maybe they plan on announcing the release date on the 16th? Would make sense if the Incredible is coming shortly thereafter, maybe get people to wait for the EVO if they know when it will be out.

Call me a skeptic, but this phone is getting released in less than 3 weeks without having gone through the FCC yet? Yeah, OKAY. Using the ol' reliable FCC rule of thumb, I guarantee you won't see this phone before the beginning of May, and even that would be pretty rushed. Raise the BS flag on this one.
what about the rash of phones that made it through fcc this week? could any of those be the EVO?

No, it's not coming out 4/16. It's just a coming soon face book event by Sprint that runs from 3/23 when they announced it at CITA to 4/16.

Probably just meant to steer people away from the Incredible which is coming out around that time or just meant to keep the EVO hype going.
Anything that puts pressure on VZW to release the Incredible sooner is fine by me though.
