Aftermarket Extended Battery RECIEVED

And I'll also mention that the phone is usually at 110 degrees especially using wireless tether but not with the new battery. It's sitting happily at 79 degrees :) I am very pleased already

on the Motorola triumph aftermarket batteries do not report the correct temp... i wouldn't doubt yours being the same. so watch it, especially if you are overclocking.

It seems everyone is buying off of ebay any thoughts about amazon and how important is the wall charger. If the standard charger that comes with warp will work wouldnt it be easier just to plug the phone in to recharge instead of pulling battery out to use wall charger

Yea I realized after a while that it wasn't reporting change in temperature. No big deal as long as you have feeling in your hands you'll know when it's too hot lol

Yeah I think so. I would just try and be careful as to stick it close to the bottom of the phone where the main antenna is though not to cover up the speaker. If your willing to, you could scissor or exacto blade a little spot to make it fit in there without blocking it.

Edit, I think by "battery" you mean battery back cover?

well I am very confused now "back cover'? I thought i had to remove the lil red sticker that the STOCK BATTERY has ... i don't see a copper foil on the back cover... help please! :(

The copper foil is black. Not a copper bronze. Its on the stock back cover. It looks like tape. If you just peel it off carefully you can easily swap it to the new cover.

I don't think you HAVE to swap the water change sticker but if you want to then you can.

I havent quite gotten to this yet. Just considering buying a 3800 battery. took cover off phone to see what you are talking about. Do you mean the tape thats aprox 2" by 2" on back cover?

I'm wondering if you may have a alturnative to this. I'd rather not possibly damage tape trying to remove it. Any ideas on possible other ways to duplicate this foil/antenna

Also would appreciate comments on this (see link) seller if anyone has delt with them is this a good price for these.

I doubt you will damage it unless you are not careful. Its not just tape. Its copper. I know no other way to help your signal which is why it is recommended to swap it out after replacing the covers.

Has anyone maybe tried using some aluminum foil instead or possibly copper tape I think art supply store may carry this

Being an electrician I would advise sticking with the copper but you can use whatever you like.

So I've received my battery about a week ago and being using it. It is way better than the regular one that come with the phone. It does last all day and it was only $10.00 with free shipping. Thanks for the tip.

So anyone using the 2000 mah battery.... how well does it work? Im looking to get at least a full day without all that extra bulk a 3800 bat would bring. Would you recommend?

I've ordered two of them, they are in the mail. It was less then 7 for the two with free shipping.

In reference to the post from spencer320 I'm wondering the same thing. If the stock battery is 1600 mah while the 3800 is intriguing I was wondering if there was an in between battery made.

My basic question is then What in between batteries are made and will they fit using the regular stock back.

I wonder if mattbodin could post a link to where he purchased the 2 batteries

Ebay is your friend.

edit:
Good to see mstechify did a thorough run through...

EDIT: It is disturbing to know however that all the aftermarket batteries didn't report battery temp properly- this could be a serious issue if you overclock.

Can you give us an update once you get a chance to drain em a few times? I see them on Ebay usually pretty cheap, 1 or 2 in the US, but mostly from China. Just really curious if they'd be worth it..... I also noticed on most of those ads on Ebay that some of the numbers are different as far as nominal charge- the stock is 3.7V... Limited charge voltage is 4.35V.

On the 2000 mAh the NC is usually the same, seen that some were 3.5V or 3.8V and the LCV was usually lower, 4.2V.... not sure if that makes a difference and if it does, to what?

Anyone know? I know there was an electrician in the house.... ;)

......I have done google searches and have checked out ebay and amazon......but I appreciate opinions of fellow warp users before I contemplate making a purchase.....
