DROID is out of stock for me. New York. Don't see how this relates to the incredible though as the DROID won't be getting replaced or anything anytime soon. It's going to live alongside the HTC Incredible.

I starting to think these people are all Tyler Durdens (for those who've seen Fight Club) it's just us wanting to believe that they're getting them into the stores. Anyone want some soap?

Looks like I got excited for nothing. Was looking on Seidio's facebook page and they had a teaser that was added March 26th stating "never before seen, the newest Seidio case coming soon". They haven't unveiled it yet, but judging by the camera cut-out, there doesn't seem to be a space available for the led flash. Oh well.

This gives more credence to the whole, getting the last push out of the DROID that you can. If the DROID is still selling well enough to be sold out in many different regions, why rush a new phone out to the public. We really need to be starting a boycott DROID sales campaign.

You're right. I think the BOGO deal has gone really well here in the NE and other parts of the country. Most likely, the regional warehouse/distribution centers are out of stock which would explain why other parts of the country are seeing it as in stock.
 
IMO, the DROID being out of stock is only in effect on the East Coast .. since the update rolled out @ noon EST. So I'm guessing VZW is rolling the update east to west. Not really a big deal ... we know the DROID is gonna be on VZW for awhile still. Anyway here's hoping they were just waiting until they could get the DROID up to 2.1 before releasing the Incredible.

They just released a new Android phone with a keyboard... the infamous DEVOUR. I think it is a big thing with the Droid OOS and the Eris EOL soon, the Devour and Incredible will be their new main Android lineup
 
I'll admit, I tried clicking it a couple times. Then when I saw the color change I said to myself, well where did it open to? Then I actually read it. D'oh

Again the devour was meant to be a cheaper version of the droid. The droid and incredible would be their starting lineup.

They are just updating the os on them, not getting rid of. If they were getting rid of them, they wouldn't bother making the effort to have an update for them to 2.1
 
The Droid being out of stock is kind of awesome for Motorola and Verizon, it means people are buying. Now get us our incredible!
 
just spoke with vzw, the droid's being out of stock is just a temporary regional issue.

of course the csr had nutin' else for me.... she did agree with the fact that the devour was more of a lightweight phone. she kinda cut me off when I fished for more info. (byatch)

Agreed. Let VZ get their last big sales push for Q1. Once the April 1st hits, it shouldn't be long before we start getting some more info.
