That's what I did and the file is that big...
What it be too much to ask if you can make a video?
I soft bricked (now it's eating a bowl of Boot loops) installing fonts from rom toolbox pro
I'm following the directions and i cant get the file to extract
Unpacking KDZ
KDZ Extracted
Extract file error
==FINSIHED==
that is what i keep getting i've installed the drivers redownloaded the files
and even tryed it on a different computer why is this not working for me and can someone post a converted kdz
I check the amount on the download and its not 566mb it was 108mb first time
and 380mb the second i'll keep trying till i get the full 566
not really lol but i was on a laptop with a bad wifi card just changed
i think i made a mistake. Is there a way to go back to the 1.2 speed on my phone. It seems like it was charged longer before the guy updated it and i don't want to have him to put any more programs on it.
This has been confirmed to work
Right now it is likely that anyone here will brick due to the phone having a secured bootloader. Flashing this firmware is your best shot at fixing any brick from removing stuff with root permissions.
Another thing I know is that some phones have been clocked at 1.5 GHz and others clocked at 1.2 GHz.
If your phone was clocked at 1.2 GHz, this firmware will clock you at 1.5 GHz!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a good thing![]()

This firmware link is from a serial number of an LG Motion 4G clocked at 1.5 GHz. None of us know if LG made two separate firmwares with some phones clocked at 1.2 and others at 1.5 or if phones that came with 1.5 was a simple typo by LG. So this firmware WILL clock you at 1.5GHz
Instructions:
Download firmware from here: Official Motion 4G MS77010c_03 Firmware - Android Forums
Download the programs to convert and flash firmware: KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip
How to get into emergency mode:
Hold Power+Volume Up+Volume Down
To get out of e-mode, pull battery (do not do this while flashing firmware!)
Thanks to DarkStarONE for how to enter emergency mode.
Before you start flashing firmware, please make sure you charge your battery for at least 30 minutes.
These are the instructions to convert the cab to a KDZ and flashing it:
- Install phone drivers (LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN37AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.7.2.exe)
- Install msxml.msi
- Disable antivirus software
- Open UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe
- Wait for the program to open
- Look for "Encrypt cab file to kdz file"
- Click the folder icon
- Choose the location of the cab you downloaded for MS770 firmware
- Encrypt cab -> kdz
- Close program
- Open KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
- "Type" choose CDMA
- Choose in "Phonemode": Emergency
- Click the folder icon and choose the kdz file that UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe just made.
- Click Launch software update and enjoy!
Ways to get into recovery mode are unknown by me currently. If you have info on that, it would be appreciated to share it
Please tell me if recovery is an automated recovery or not.
Automated recovery:
Shows an android and a loading bar on the bottom and automatically reboots into phone when done.
Non-automated recovery:
Gives you options to:
- Reboot
- Apply update.zip
- Wipe data (Factory Reset)
- Wipe cache
Phones don't fix themselves.
Please donate.
every time i try to download the firmware file its says "could not read file source".
ok i finally got further now at the end all the steps go through but an upgrade error message pops up.. "upgrade error wparam/ iparam"
Are you in emergency mode?
Ok finally for the 100th try literally, my phones back up and running idk wtf the problem was but finally

PLEASE STICKEY. This saved my new phone after rooting, and apparently many others. I would hate to see it lost in the threads for future LG Motion owners that are new to this like I am. Thank you. This has been confirmed to work
