1.5ghz or 1.2ghz which one do you have

You mean Metro????
The people that work in the stores usually have no idea what root is....

I went into a store before and I was running rooted stock-like rom , they paid no attention to su app.

Lucky you my metro store in sacramento looks for it and when they see they hand me my phone bank and say sorry.

I thought LG is my vision worked for Verizon?

Either way, its interesting to hear about.

I tell the sprint reps my phone is rooted and they don't have permission to change software before I allow them to touch it.

Sprint doesn't care that you're rooted. It doesn't prevent them from working on the device

Verizon hates people who are rooted. And yes he works for Verizon

I have 1.5 ghz as well.

I was wondering why my battery was going down kind of fast. At a full charge and data turned off, I still lost six percent of my battery over eight hours of sleep. My friend, who also has the LG Motion 4G, still held a full 100 percent after eight hours of sleep.

I clocked it down to 1 ghz, so hopefully that improves the battery life.

i dont think whats causing that is the cpu. mind you just because it's at 1512mhz doesn't mean it's going full blown all the time. i really dont know forsure but i think the official android devs would've put ondemand as the default cpu gov, maybe conservative idk. that means your phone is running between something like 380-1512 mhz, although with something like no frills cpu will probably allow you to set the minimum to 100mhz, or maybe with a new kernel and the smartass gov it'll be set to drop to 100mhz when the screen shuts off. the list of why your missing 6% could go on forever it's probably not even accurate either. how do you recalibrate these batteries? is it the same as most? the biggest number i've got to see in uptime has been 1d 16h etc etc. i played dead trigger for atleast an hour too. but overall it is something like 15h to 1d 3h

I tell people ask me if your rooted since I let it slide. I do it myself ... I am nice and I help

Yeah, you're probably right, since I clocked it down to 1 ghz and did not see any improvement in battery life. I still lose six percent through eight hours of sleep. I wonder what it could be.

Some MetroPCS locations DO care if your rooted (Like 1 in 3)
Verizon hates rooted (I don't and I wont ever deny it! , I will help rooted people!)
Sprint Doesn't (They ask for permission to "Touch" your phone)
Virgin Mobile , Doesn't (They ask if you every _____ Dropped ETC but they dont care)
Boost Mobile Ussually Does (3 in 4 do care) So Tough Noodles
Best Buy Mobile (if you buy from there) They don't , They replace if you have insurance no matter what you do!

US Cellular and Cricket , Do (My friend had them , Rooted , ROM'd , Then they got mad and said " Dont do that ______ to your phone man " and " That can be illegal and against the law " My friend yelled " I BOUGHT THIS PHONE AND I DO WHAT I WANT AND WHEN I WANT , _____ you! " And thats my cute little story :D

I'm beginning to think people underclocking their phones does more harm than good.

At least on this phone. Worked wonders on the connect.

Got a LG motion for my wife yesterday... She got a 1.5 and she got excited ... Only good news for her since she was in a hospital bed a few hours ago giving birth... Anyway..hard to get a 1.2 unless replacement
Congrats on baby may they live long and prosper:D

me and my wife booth got the 1.5ghz just seeing if its more likely to get the motion with 1.5ghz or the one with 1.2ghz
 I can't find which one I have(not rooted yet) I thought I had the 1.2 but really cant tell, someone wanna throw me a bone please. BTW battery life is off the wall crazy like the phones of old, I have the Esteem also and I'm thinking of getting rid of it and just having 2 of these there great, network also is much faster and did I tell you about the battery life. I only wish Mr JOBS was here to see how to really build a phone. OUCH Guess I'm not a fanboy:smokingsomb:;):D:)

do a antutu bench mark run the the bench mark test. after the test is done if it says 1512mhz you have a 1.5ghz cpu. hope this helps

Wow! That's insane! lol

I bought this phone for my wife with the understanding it was a dual core 1.2

I download system panel from the market and went into the menus for dev options which shows all the specs of the phone.

She does in fact have 1.512 dual core!

Glad I found thos thread. :D

So I think I figured out my battery issue. I had been stopping Wiper App under running apps. Apparently it's some kind of internal task manager. I rebooted my phone and decided to let it run, and my battery life has been dramatically better. It's still at full charge after eight hours of sleep.

Did you freeze wiper app or just stopped it?

:smokingsomb:;):D:rolleyes:
This is one of the best android phones I've purchased
1) Galaxy 1 from T mobile
2) qlick 2 T mobile
3) Esteem Metro
4) Admire Metro
5) 4G Motion Metro
The battery life is unbelievable, 4 rocks and there are no hiccups on this phone I would much rather have this then a Iphone5 but then cancer looks more appealing then an apple product.
I would highly recommend this phone to anyone:rolleyes::smokingsomb:

just cerious what other apps do you got disabled?/rrmoved with or without root?

i ask because if i let my phone sit and sleep for 9 hours while im sleeping ill have like 88-92% in the morning, and also are you doing these tests with the 4g disabled?

ty in advanced obviously the list im asking you to make could be quite large so no worries, if you ever get some time to sit there and do it id appreciate it
