So here's the story, you guys should get a kick outta this.
I was attempting to flash my Evo (which I purchased Sunday) to MetroPCS.

But somethings didn't quite work out at first.

Long story short, I went into Qpst, and did a restore of NV items (qcn) but I restored the wrong phone. I restored a samsung phone's data to my evo.

So now all I can do is load the bootloader and fastboot.

I cant install ROMS, Restore, access recovery or anything.

Who can help?

See my last post in the Metropcs guide...not sure if it will help, but I saw it and thought about that guide;)

I've tried the RUU flashing to no avail.
I am S-off.
I've flashed many different PC36IMGs to no avail.
Everytime I flash anything in the bootloader, I restart the phone and the "HTC EVO 4G" screen comes on for about 4 seconds and reboots. Same thing happens when I attempt to boot into recovery.

what is your hboot? so the bootloader sees the PC36IMG file, correct? and you select update, but then it just bootloops when rebooted, right?

Well, I flashed the RUU, and nothing happened. Currently it has boot looped 6 times and it still has S-Off.

Gaaaahh

yeah not sure then. if the ruu's are not working then you might be screwed. you have to be very careful whenever you mess around with radios and nv's. i wish i had an answer or solution for you.

Sorry about your phone, I know all about nv getting screwed. Probably can find a cheap evo though right now with all these people jumping ship
