T-Mobile/Metro Talks

If I read the article correctly, it said that the NEW tmoblie board members was going to be run by tmobile execs. So fuzz might have a point, the company will be a stiff competitor for tmoblie but wont give a rats a** about the metro customers. Especially with this merger tmobile will have a nice spectrum foundation to invite mvno's & make more cash I guess.

Even if they lost half of metros customers, that's a pale fraction of customers it already has.

But yeah, this won't happen for a while do i guess it's best to let it run it's course and if they try to force us into a contract we call always just say no and walk away.

They're not gonna actually merge until sometime in the first 6 months of next year so buy your device.

Me, I'm probably not gonna buy and wait until next year to upgrade because if they're gonna merge than that means we'll be seeing the note 2, optimus g, and one x+ on metro next year.

I'm patient.

I was ready to unload around 500 for new s3 but now with this merger I have no idea what to do.
I do not want to spend money for something I can use maybe 6 months maybe a year . What are yours thoughts on this one?

I'm not. One of my downfalls. Lol

So I'm hoping now Tpcs Mobile (mixed metro n T-Mobile u like that lol) will beat out sprint, Verizon, and at&t. T-Mobile has metro, starting up solavei, and is doing the whole wal-mart affiliation. Good move for them I guess.

Well, here you go.

To be honest, the Sprint/MetroPCS merger attempt made more sense. Both CDMA, both LTE.

Problem is, any Metro phone you buy now will be obsolete. Like the EXPENSIVE SIII? Yes, you can use it right now, but you may not be able to SELL it -- unless you find someone dumb enough to buy it? :)

I'd still get it. It'll probably be a couple of years before Metros CDMA network is gone. Also, the 4G isn't going to be affected since that is the whole reason that T-Mobile wanted this, to get Metros 4G network.

Just buy the device they have long way to really change anything it maybe sometime in Jun of next year When everything start rolling out, no matter what happens im still getting the s3 its going to be a pretty good merge. :)

So basically this looks like the best bet. Buy the s3 and sell it by 2015 before it comes inoperable. Actually before then if you want to get a decent amount for it.

Honestly, most of us won't keep the phone for 2 years so this is very plausible. 2015 rolls around and you get a t mobile phone.

unless im hearing wrong i heard tmobile ceo is taking over and mentions new plans, what are they trying to eliminate? or trying to estsblidhsh more income with data plans. Maybe im talking too soon, pure speculation until we hear something else i guess..

idk tmobile is att little sister. and their connection towers are a tad better but i hate tmobile app store

Actually i would rather go with the unlocked galaxy nexus or wait for the new nexus.
Its cheaper, not a big difference from the s3 and its future proof lol
Who talks about the s2? But people still talk about the og nexus.

People are getting too worked up over this merger. Are you guys forgetting that the GSIII will be running on MetroPCS's 4G LTE? Which is the reason why T-mobile wanted the merger? This phone will not be cut off or easily out-dated. It is a good investment. -- Regardless of that matter, any phone i buy will barely last me a year before I sell it and buy the NEXT big thing. Hopefully S4 or the new GNexus. Also, to the people concerned about the merger. This will certainly give us more options in regards to phones. We will be getting High-end phones as soon as they come out, no contract...
