No luck. Unless there is some trick I'm missing. Hopefully if this ain't just a problem with mine. Y'all can get the issues fixed.
Just sucks because I'm falling in love with the lg 3.0 launcher and touchwiz4. And atom launcher has caught my eye. Apex nova and trebuchet are a little too boring for my taste
I'm addicted to the spec now. Face unlock is amazing unless your driving at night

Naming the next version of android 'Kandy Kane' would kill Google. Nobody would ever take them seriously again. I know they'd lose my respect.
 
Just got 1x data on my aokp build.

I'm not on VZW so I don't know if this is related to my carrier or not. Anyone with VZW service that can drive adb and do a test?

i think att or tmo use 1x for data.. or phones before 3g became popular

1x with verizon afaik is just calls/texts


btw... couldnt save my spectrum without charging the battery from my dads spec.... switched over to the leak rom to test it out... when data gets working on aokp ill definately get back on it..

Shoot me a link and I'll tell you what I find out. I'm going to CM9 all weekend now that I'm not at work.
 
I've been using this rom (cm9) for the last 3 days (I love it!) however, I am having wifi issues. In particular, the wifi connection goes out every few minutes (randomly, sometimes it lasts longer than other times) and after it disconnects, sometimes I am unable to reconnect. When I am unable to reconnect I have to reboot the phone because I cant find a method that could help me reconnect. Am I the only one having this issue?
 
I thought that Android versions were supposed to be named after desserts. But ginger bread and jelly bean aren't really deserts. Key Lime Pie would be awesome. It's delicious so it better be a great version too :)
 
i must be really out of the loop because until tonight I had no idea what froyo was, or what it meant. though I Never really gave it any thought either.

When did people ever call frozen yogurt froyo?

Try this:

quattrimus-VS920-cm9-datatest.zip

This has a fix for the ril crash in cdma mode but it doesn't have the build.prop changes to use cdma mode. So, after you flash it, while still in adb, do:

adb shell mount /system
adb pull /system/build.prop

Now find the line "ro.telephony.ril_class=LGEQualcommUiccRIL" and comment it out with a hash mark. Also find the line "ro.telephony.default_network=8" and change the 8 to a 4. Then push it back:

adb push build.prop /system
adb shell umount /system

Now reboot and see what happens. Capture a radio logcat too:

adb logcat -b radio
 
Or if you're feeling lazy, just replace your /system/framework/framework.jar from the datatest rom, and do the build.prop changes of course. But if that doesn't work try the full flash.
 
The lock screen shows "No SIM card.|Searching for Service" and phone calls no longer work. I'll post the logcat shortly, once I make sure nothing identifying is in it.

Edit:
Had to kill the links. Found stuff in there that I don't need public. I suggest anyone else that is thinking of posting the logs, send them to TDM directly as well as there will be info you don't want in the public.

Sounds like you are still in gsm mode. cdma should not complain about a sim. Can you go through your wireless settings and check?

Btw my phone and sms work both ways. But with gsm mode it says no sim on the lock screen. Not that it's relevant though, as I don't have a sim card or vzw service.
 
TDM, i sent you a private message on irc. you can check the logs out and tell me what you think. datatest does not detect a sim card while alpha1 does.
 
On a side note, you can get to the PRL update/activation menu in CM9, but it will not bring up the keypad for you to press 1 to activate. Just one of those amusing things to find as stock just says you're getting info from the SIM and kicks you out.

Figured that out when we were all posting logs to try and figure out the random reboots. Had to pull mine from my website, I was taking them and posting them every couple of hours... felt pretty stupid for a couple of days.
