Here's the thing: Verizon customers are generally such not by choice but by compulsion. We are those who require that their phones actually do telephony reliably, and exist in areas where Big Red is the only real game.
Sprint's prices seem awesome, and the EVO looks great. But where I am, I just don't think their service is an option. Sure, I hear that they roam on VZW's network, but I hear its not exactly an equal experience.
But thanks for the suggestion anyway.
I had Sprint before switching to Verizon years ago. I don't know if they've improved their service in my area or not, but the idea of going back to the dropped calls keeps me from trying. I even live in the KC area, so you'd think they'd have top notch service where they're located. The most frustrating thing was that my calls would always drop as I drove past Sprint Headquarters. Others with Sprint would mention the same thing. My impression was, if you can't cover the street next to your national headquarters you have problems.
This was many years ago, so they are probably better now though. I definitely agree that they're pricing is very good, and they're getting some nice phones for sure. If Verizon really didn't get anything good before Sprint's latest stuff ships I suppose I'd give them a shot, but I just can't imagine Verizon not getting the Incredible to us before then.
