Highly doubt it will come with 1GB of RAM. Of course i wish im wrong, but don't count on it coming with 1GB of RAM.

I also feel like battery life is going to be a killer..............1300mh is weakkk
I'm thinking the same thing about the battery, enough so that I get an extra battery and have chargers at home, at work, and in my car...

there does seem to be a dispute in the amount of RAM, some "verified" specs saying 512 Mb, some saying 1 Gb...

No, the deal they have now is BOGO on the Palms PLUS free mobile hotspot with no additional monthly fee- so in all you get 3 devices 1 of which can connect other devices- sort of like a mobile wireless router.

Yeah, that's tethering. That's built into windows mobile so you can do it for free anyways without verizon's control. ;)

I'm 45 minutes over the bridge in Eastham - the start of the National Seashore so I guess that qualifies...:D

That's were some of the family lived back in the day till we were kicked out by eminent domain and bought over in wellfleet, my aunt used to own the captain kidd bar which you might have been to if you ever stopped at the drawbridge in woods hole.

just wait till folks unlock it and take the reins off the processor. not only will you be able to watch the battery meter going down, the back of it might get a little warm :)

I'm not positive about this, but didn't BB introduce their new browser that was powered by webkit, and should improve the load times and such by a lot?

Edit: Here's a link to it

The New WebKit BlackBerry Browser: Yes, It's Actually Good - BlackBerry - Gizmodo

According to the article it is still months away, which probably means about a year. After having the storm 1 since launch day, I cannot wait to switch to an android device. Hopefully there is only another week or two to wait for the incredible!

And this article is from 2/16/10, so too long to wait for RIM to get their act together.

As a current blackberry user (Tour), I have not noticed any improvement in the web browser since the upgrade to 5.0. This is a large part of the reason I want to switch phones. The other big factor is that blackberry just lacks the "fun factor" found in android phones. With android, it seems like you can be productive AND have fun.

1. Tethering big no no if you get caught w/o purchasing the additional package for it. ( also can add up to a gynormous bill)

2. not talking about tethering the devices at all- they are getting a mifi- which is a separate device

This phone is killing me.

I could have got a Droid back in November when it came out. I could have basically spend half of my contract with the device already. It's been MONTHS. Back in November they were talking about Black Friday and then it got pushed out to December, then we were hoping for a late January release. It didn't show up for a couple months, but we still held on to the idea that it'd eventually just show up. Mid February and then late February led into March. We watched global and local mobile phone shows/conferences go by with absolutely ZERO confirmation of the device. March has now pushed into April and all we keep hearing is... TWO MORE WEEKS. I have already spend 5 months waiting for this phone.

What is the most recent release date people have been spouting? 17th? 25th? Well, when it comes and goes and we still don't know when this phone is going to be released to us, I'll be picking up another phone. I'm gonna spend the next 2-3 weeks deciding between 3 phones: Touch Pro 2, Imagio and the MotoDroid.

Unless they can give a solid release date in the near future, I'm just going to have to give up on this phone. I could have been perfectly happy with a Droid and then picked up the Incredible 2 or one of the first LTE phones this fall, but I kept waiting. =( You guys have really been a blast and this thread is MASSIVE, but I can't keep fooling around with this Voyager. I have to get a new phone.

Hopefully the recent news of phones in warehouses and numbers on CellBrite systems will actually pan out and it'll actually be out in 2 or 3 weeks... I really hope so.

Manchester area here. In the INCREDIBLE town of Goffstown :p

I really hope to hear an official announcement about the Incredible soon. Im going crazy
used to live in Manchester myself and had a friend in Goffstown. I tried driving the back roads between Dunbarton Rd (off Exit 6) and Goffstown once in a blizzard to pick up my wife who was stranded at work.

I will NEVER go that way again!!

Funny about 7 years ago I bought a kit from Verizon to go with my Lg vx?? so I could hook my laptop up to it and access the internet. It just went against my minutes so... if I only used it nights and weekends... I had access wherever I traveled as long as I had a verizon signal. And then they got greedy.

Tethering. I can do it no problem and am not charged. My phone does not get wifi but I assume he meant tethering?

Could it be there is something about windows mobile that is actually better than android? lol
isn't Tethering a rooted-only feature on Android? And frowned upon by the carrier? Not that I obey any laws or anything...

anyone gonna get swype for android for their new incredible? i've never tried it.

Absolutely! First thing...I've already signed up for their beta program just so I'd be sure I could get in. And the phone isn't even announced.

But just to tide me over I found a version that works on my husband's WinMo phone (that he HATES, BTW) so I could get a feel for it. Works well, especially once you get your head around it a bit. I think it will be even better on the Inc (of course it will, won't EVERYTHING!) b/c the WinMo phone has a resistive screen instead of capacitive.

I don't think they could get away with that since I was never even told you had to pay for this and I bought my phone with it built-in - I didn't have to install something or hack anything. The option for internet sharing is right next to bluetooth on/off, flight mode, etc. It's not even hidden...

my friend just bought a storm 2 the other day....

there's no story behind it, but I laughed on the inside when he showed me the phone and told me how awesome it was.

thought I lost my phone! It wasnt in the car where I thought I left it by mistake. It's pretty dark outside, I had my wife call it. It was on TOP of my car! I left it there by mistake! Already I was thinking.. hmm... well, i lost this one... I can get the droid for a month and wait out the incredible! ;)

Wuss..I do that in my Corolla.
Used to in my Truck, until I totaled it during a snow storm

Possibly Subconscious Forgetfulness?

I've covered a lot of the Cape since I like to windsurf and kayak, but haven't been there. Will check it out when I'm in the area.

hmm then I don't know- I just know that I cant do it with my BB unless I downloaded tetherberry ( frowned on) or bought an additional data package

You may want to check further into it though- I have heard some horror stories about people getting hit with some hefty bills from Verizon. I think there were even some posts about it this morning
