I knew I got bestbuy insurance for a reason! If my Droid were to "accidentally" break beyond repair I get the cost of a new Droid towards any phone of my choice. Isn't that just INCREDIBLE. I really want his phone and it is making me regret buying the Droid on launch day. Then again the m button not working on my curve was becoming problematic.

Its jackasses like you that raise my premiums for my house, my car and my electronics.

alternatively you could sell your droid on ebay/craigslist and just pay the difference.

The good news is he misread his insurance....he would only be entitled to "the phone of his choice" if the droid is no longer available....which it will be for a longgggggg time.

Do you see the word Incredible in the April 28th box? No, unlike the April 21st box where the word Samsung Reality is named, there is nothing in this box. Is it because of this picture everything thinks April 28th is the release date? If so, MODERATORS close this thread. I'm sorry, if there is a hint of a rumored release date, this thread goes out of control. There is no release date yet. Don't post unless it's official.

Eh, not really. Maybe electronics, yeah. Hard to discriminate between policy holders as there's no real record that follows your use/abuse of the policy except to limit how often you can take advantage. But with homes, most companies these days will drop you if you make two big claims in a short amount of time rather than spread it across the customer base. It's the natural disasters that end up raising your premiums beyond the increases that come with change in costs. Same goes with auto insurance. The better drivers are insulated from the ones who are making claims or racking up tickets. My rates are pretty low, relative to today. Yeah, the premiums have gone up, but have you seen the average price of a car compared with 10 years ago? It shot up like $10,000. Just saying, it's jackasses like these that raise your electronics premiums only. :)

With the recent posting of the incredible showing up in the cellebrite I went back and looked at the Droid.

10-13 Boy Genius Report post image of cellebrite with Sholes - ie Droid
10-20 (might be off by a day) Verizon confirms Droid
11-6 Droid for sale.

So by applying the same time line to the Incredible

4-3 Incredible in cellebrite
4-10 possible announcement by VZW
4-26 possible Incredible for sale.

Pretty close to the speculation for a for sale date of 4/28.

I've been gone for a few hours, but it appears the proposed release date went from April 17th to April 28th. Ahhhhhhhhh!! When will it stop!!!!

Something to ponder:

Verizon's 10th anniversary. A big deal right? Why would they let that go by without something INCREDIBLE? Oh whoopie.. Happy anniversary Verizon??? That's it? and nothing else? They could announce something really Incredible like:

Celebrating 10 years of innovation with the most powerful network and now the most INCREDIBLE, most powerful smart phone available on the market today. HTC Incredible. Begin your own Incredible experience today. Come into your Verizion Store today or order online. Special anniversary pricing expires 4/30/10. ;);););););)

April 28th.....my 26th wedding anniversary..

I would say after 26 years. i DESERVE something Incredible:cool:

My internet is down in my appartment so I am at my local Panera's right now with some coffee trying to catch up.

So we have a new rumored date for some android headset, right? The 28th is pretty far and like Kcoan said, I'm hoping for the possibility that VZW counts the N1 launching launching as an android headset. Anything else in the past 10 pages newsworthy?

You seem to be arguing two different points in one post. Is the screen too big for you, or the phone?

I happen to think the EVO/HD2 form factor is quite simply a smarter, more efficient use of space and I would welcome the huge 0.6" jump in screen size. (Then again, I own and love a 12.1" "netbook" too). The best part is the phone itself is only marginally larger, so the pocket-ability will not suffer. It is a better screen-to-chassis ratio, and a better design IMHO.

I would love to step up from my feature phone Dare to Android, but more and more I am feeling like I will wait for a 4.3" screen running Android on Verizon. Whether that be the Moto Shadow, HTC Vulture, or something else I don't know. I have played with the Droid several times and while I thought going from my 3.1" Dare to the 3.7" Droid would give me the "WOW" impression, in reality I came away with a luke-warm "that's OK" feeling. If rumors of the Shadow heat up for this summer (my NE2 is up mid-June) I might sit back and pass on the Incredible. My girlfriend desperately needs a new phone so I might get plenty of hands-on time with the Incredible soon anyways. ;)

Bulldog - that was my point exactly. from the pics the phone appears physically larger which is acceptable except for a few points: the screen breaking problem with the nexus one hopefully doesn't transfer over since a larger piece of glass in a same size frame would translate to less support for said glass, and the fact that it going to a lesser carrier makes it less appealing for that increase in screen size if nothing else. so what we have is a Evo 4G with 480x800 and 65,536 colors vs say the Droid with 480x854 with 16,000,000 colors in a 4.3" vs 3.7" screen on them vs. the Incredible with a 480x800 display and ? colors in a 3.7" screen which could ship with a similar 262,144 colors that the Eris has. All things considered, I'm just not willing to go back to Sprint with potentially such a great device just to not be able to use it to its full extent. I'll stick with the Incredible for its usability.

I 2nd this plus am I the only one that thinks 4.3" screen size is kind of excessive for a MOBILE PHONE? Where does it stop? soon phones won't fit in our pockets any more and we'll all be going around with.....:gasp:.......iPads!

4.3" is excessive. However, for me, I need reading glasses, so bigger is better. On my current htc touch screen, I've missed an appointment at work because I couldn't distinguish a number correctly. Of course, the WM OS font being so small does not help in the the least.

The discussion was about hardware, not carrier. Carrier discussions would be off-topic in this thread (not that anyone cares).

Besides, no one cares what some carrier is like where you live, work and play. They care about what the carrier is like where they live, work and play. I happen to live in a city where Sprint is rated as more reliable than Verizon service, and we're swimming in 4G here too.

Also, the "Sprint fanboy" stuff is unneeded. I'm a Verizon customer and have been for over 15 years.

My bad Berner. The 2nd paragraph wasn't directed towards you but I see how you could have mistakenly thought I was attacking you with that.
