I just emailed the HTC people to see if they could tell me a release date and here is what they told me. Probable the same they tell everyone, but to put us back on topic

Hello Brad, I can understand how important it is to have a device that best suits your needs. Unfortunately, we have not been given any release information regarding the HTC Incredible for Verizon Wireless. When available, information about the HTC Incredible will be available at HTC - Mobile Phones, Smartphones, Cell Phones, PDAs. Don't make unleash abunch of aimless prattle to get this done, I know there are more than just me here, steve58 could have cleared this up all by himself by now.
Smileys forgotten, sorry steve.

I feel like something is going to happen today. Something big.

Nah I'm feelin tomorrow.. Monday.. Start of the week.. I'm opening so I'm hoping that something will already have been posted and waiting for me *fingers crossed* Even if not, I'll be constantly searching the intranet for any news or new info and will definitely keep you guys posted if I find anything..

I think the N1 is at least gonna be offered subsidized to solo plans like it is on T-Mobile, and if Google really wants to sell some, they should offer it on family plans too. I think they will (No proof, just a hunch). I definitely think they're gonna offer more than just the $529 no contract option.

Problem with that logic though is that it's not Google subsidizing the phone. It's Verizon since they get the money from the calling plan to pay for the subsidy. It is totally up to Verizon if they want to subsidize the phone or not and to what degree they will subsidize it unless Google wants to lose money hand over fist. Verizon doesn't even have to make it easy to get the Nexus One on their network if they don't want to.

I actually think Verizon won't subsidize the Nexus One and instead will push the Incredible instead. They can't really stop Google from selling a phone for their network but I think it will be more like the AT&T model. I doubt that Verizon will see the Nexus One as being worth their while.

The big difference is that Verizon was announced as a partner with Google since the initial N1 announcement, AT&T's just kinda popped up.

True but that doesn't really mean anything other than Verizon agreed to carry the phone earlier. It doesn't even mean they are a partner just a network that agreed to carry the phone.

I resized the image so that it wasn't so big. Text didn't scale well but it works.

does anyone remember how the calendar said "additional android handset"
maybe that means the 28th is the launch of another android handset for april, meaning there will be one sooner in april than the 28th...?

Personally, I think if there was another one coming out in April, it would have been in the calendar and the OP would have mentioned it/posted a pic. But the only notable things were the Reality and the Android launch. I think it means in addition to the ones they already have

or they don't know the name of the phone.

or that Verizon doesn't have to physically prepare its stores for the launch og the N1 but acknowledged the fact its launching prior to the Incredible. The N1 is supposed to be sold online only thus vzw has little to prepare for in its launch. I'm guessing the Incredible is the "additional android headset."

Sent from my POS S1.

I can hear Steven singing it now

Does anyone know whether the Incredible will have a removable battery? I really hope it does, I hate the thought of throwing out a device because its battery can't hold a charge. Also, why does everyone think the Incredible is going to be priced higher that the Droid? I was hoping of spending no more that $200.

It does have a removable battery.

We think it will be priced higher because it is a better phone. It is as simple as that. I could go into detail, but that is the end result.

Yes, it has a removable battery-- it's not a fruit gadget! lol :D I expect the Incredible to come out $299 in store with $100 MIR, and $199 online, that's what Verizon has been doing with most of its smartphones.

EDIT: Why are you guys so fast???

haha, I'm going to refer to them as fruity gadgets now. Take that as you wish.

Unless I'm mistaken, Apple is the only company so full of itself that they don't have a removable battery.
