Too many browsers

I have so many browsers, that I don't know which one to keep :confused:

I currently have:

Boat Browser
Dolphin
Dolphin mini
Easy browser
Firefox
Ninesky Browser
Opera Mini
Opera Mini Next
XScope Pro

I want to get down to just one browser but I jump in between browsers when the other feels slow to me.
 
It's like any other app...just a matter of personal preference. Pick whichever you use most or feel most comfortable with.

I tend to use whichever browser is included in the rom I'm currently using...whenever I go back to working on my own rom I alternate between dolphin (I really like the dropbox addon) and maxthon.

That's my problem, I don't have one favorite browser, that's why I'm always in between them. I'm downloading the maxthon browser you just mention lol.
 
Yeah, Maxthon is my main browser because of its nice tab browsing, its "open in background" feature, its screen resize buttons, and its handy "Quick" favorites screen.

Occasionally I use "Overscreen" when I need a browser floating in a small window on top of another app.

Occasionally I use the "Panel Writer" browser because of its ability to display the HTML code for web pages.

Overscreen sounds awesome.
 
My phone ALWAYS has the same apps. I erase stock apps, and install Boat Browser, Titanium Backup, Friendcaster, Draw Something because I'm cool like that, Tapatalk, Youtube, and that's it.


TL;DR:

I like boat.

I don't have any good eyes. I'm pretty blind (though my glasses make me look smarter!)

Hey, Marty. What are you LOOKING for in a browser? Maybe we can make more suggestions for what to delete/keep ;)

Speed is really my main concern, some of the browsers I use slowdown after a while.
 
I've noticed that with Skyfire and FireFox, particularly. Boat has always been stable and fast for what I do, personally. I don't use too many flash-based sites, either. Basically, I need to know "When does the chinese buffet close?" and such. For me, boat is perfect. Maxthon I don't think...Oh no, I used that before. It was okay. I'm just partial to boat browser. It works perfect for me.

OMG!!! Marty Mar. Keep your cache clean, Reboot often, Stick with the smallest browser you can find!!! CLEAR CACHE , REBOOT!!! The Phone needs a rest once in a while!!!:D

Boat looks like an updated version of Maxthon. The two look and operate too similarly for the two apps to not be related to each other.

The tabs in Boat work better than the tabs in Maxthon. Some of the controls in Maxthon require fewer keystrokes/touchstrokes than the equivalent controls in Boat.

So no reason to have Maxthon then. That's one extra browser down a few more to go.

I like Maxthon better than Boat. Maxthon is stable and reliable. Boat has glitches and some of its controls are cumbersome.

The "Quick/Home" favorites screen function in Maxthon is much better than the equivalent screen/function in Boat. For me "Quick/Home" is enough reason to choose Maxthon over Boat.
 
Hate to be the odd man out but with flash player firefox is my favorite... the dev on the add ons is going strong and it's just a matter of time before flashgot will work with it... my fav is firefox for a couple of reasons full desktop site option and when you download it goes to status bar like the default which is fantastic!!!
 
Still after a few months using it I'm still using sleipnir as my daily driver browser. It just seems to make the best use of the screen and the gestures I find more useful here than anywhere. As accurate as any other bar browser I've seen as well. It's a hidden gem.
 
Boat also has a Mini, it's pretty good.

Also, consider setting flash/plug-ins to on demand if you don't use a lot of flash and want speed without sacrificing the features altogether. (you'll get a marker instead of the goods, click it to demand the flash content)

BTW, for those of us with several browsers, Choose Browser is a must have. Looking at a page, your browser starts lagging or something, want to try another? Tap share, Choose Browser and select. Plus, it's free. :)

(I was going to have Chinese tonight, but I decided that it's burger night. There. Never let it be said that your friendly neighborhood mod doesn't stay on topic, whatever it is here. :D)
