Root Cyanogen 5.0.5.7 is out

I just upgraded,and it was FC city

Going back to 5.0.5.5

I didn't wipe data though, maybe that's why it didn't work
 
not going to update this time, i don't use a launcher, i am using slidescreenhome right now and it has no launcher, good for a bit, this works nice for me right now

Looks like helix2 might not work again. The dev who made the app said on xda that he is basically done with it. He did tell cyanogen he could take some of the code and use it though. So we might see some of its functionality back in a later release

Thats heartbreaking. :( If they had a cryface on this forum, I'd be crying right now.

The helix launcher that cyanogen used was nice, but one of the features I liked best about the Helix2 vs cyanogen was that you could drag and drop shortcuts created by bettercut and app manager, and the custom icons would stay.
 
Quick question, I'm coming from NexBeast ESE53 do I need to wipe everything to try this ROM, I love trying new ROM's but it takes soooo long to set my phone back up.

yea anytime you are coming from a rom that isnt cyanogen you need to wipe

yeah if you don't need a 3d launcher. the update is not worth it.

Ok just flashed from NexBeast, maybe it's me but no wifi tethering? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
 
I have never had to install an apk for tethering before? Sorry my first time with Cyanogen.

Some ROMs will include the apk... Cyanogen is not themed so it doesn't include anything fancy like that, it is bare bones... If you are looking for a themed version with some bells and whistles (including the WiFi Tether apk) check out JRummy's Cyanogen remix....
