Defective Speaker On My DNA

Been fooling with it all night and was wondering why I wasn't hearing my text notifications. After a missed call, I checked all volume settings and they were all on the up and up. I rebooted to try and correct it...no dice. No notifications, no ringtones, no audio, nothing...it just makes a clicking sound.

Nothing I can do to correct it until Friday and being in public on Black Friday is pretty much my idea of Hell. This is the first HTC device I've owned since my old Windows Mobile days and after the hassle of actually getting my DNA at our Corporate store, paying full retail to retain Unlimited Data and now having a defective piece of hardware, I'm questioning my decision.

I love the device thus far (other than this issue) but needed to vent.

Yea, that blows.

I bet if you called 611 and talked to someone you may get a 30 dollar credit or something for your troubles....

Worth a shot since you did get a raw deal

Just a quick thought. You don't happen to be using a bluetooth headset with media sounds coming through the headset, are you?

I only ask because I was, and had all the sounds going to my bluetooth headset on the table and I wondered where my sounds went until I turned off the bluetooth. Anyway, just a thought. Sorry man ...

No sir, nothing has been connected via Bluetooth. All in all, I love the phone...I just want the speaker to work.
