Root [Odin] Clockworkmod Recovery - Not compatible with Rom Manager yet

Installing the recovery via Odin should work-have done many Admire's that way. Try deleting all the files that you downloaded originally to install CWM-start new-less risk and at least a bad download can be ruled out.
I'm not saying
operator error
it will work but....(KD man:D)
 
I'm in a desperate need for help. I rooted my metropcs Samsung admire and I was using the application clockworkmod and I downloaded the rom cyanogen and I went reboot and install the app and my phone never rebooted and now it won't turn on, I've tried the hard reset buttons and no luck, any other suggestions?

Your phone shouls still power on. Try and get it into download mode put your usb cable in the comp, hold down the camera button and put the cable in while holding it down, the screen should come up, press up and your ready to use odin. Pull the battery and make sure its charged. Im not sure what your trying to do as you havent inidcated it but you can restore your phone to version EH02

Incidentally there is no official cynogen support for this phone so dont even bother downloding the app or trying to install clockworkmod via it. You have to use the unofficial versions in the forums. There is no fully working unofficial version of cynogen, only clockworkmod. Good luck.

you sure you werent using rom manager...im only saying this because he said he used the app clockworkmod and hes saying app...but I could be wrong :p
 
im in odin mode on my fone etc and i have odin open i have the yellow box with the number but it said to click PDA and its grayed out i cant click it.. then i tried clicking one package cuz i read that and... theres no .tar file in what i downloaded from the zip all that was in the zip was recovery.img:confused:
 
Hello all, the link in the OP for CWM seems to be dead. I found a file of the same name linked in a guide posted here, and I'm reasonably sure it's the correct recovery. Can someone confirm this before I attempt to install it on my 15 year-old daughter's phone? If I brick it, I'm a dead man. :) Thanks in advance!
 
Dont uses other files for it, you dont know if they are the right ones after all. if you want I can put the files in my dropbox real quick and provide a link
