I haven't promoted myself at all, I was just trying to prevent you guys from getting more misinformation. I was laughing because of what started this information. I was also laughing because people thought that we were more than what we actually are. And lastly, I was laughing because I had been trying to provide the correct info, and people wouldn't listen, and kept running with it. I don't need to promote myself, I've never even mentioned before that I'm a VCC member, until the misinformation had been posted. But, since you are asking about what we do, I'll explain it. We provide feedback about policies, promotions, software, and devices from Verizon Wireless. The key part, is that VZW directly asks us for the feedback, and they may also ask us about certain devices, certain policies, promotions, etc. It is a forum of members who interact with each other and VZW, in a small private community, such as this very one.

truthfully the way i read it last night on the nexus one forum i pictured the "council" as a bunch of old men in cloaks sitting in chairs in a circle while a vzw representative presents them the incredible while down on one knee.

Well, kids, I hit the local Sprint store today to give their service (and 30-days free offer) a try. So far, so good. I'm using the Hero as my mule. The real test will be when I drive about 30 miles north to get home and see what it's like there, as it's much more rural. I had to give it a shot; their rates are just too good for smartphone users. If all goes well, I'm giving up on the Incredible and taking about 4 other people with me to Sprint when I p/u the EVO in a few months. I'll report back...

I see you're from Georgia.....I'm around the Athens area myself. I've been thinking of trying Sprint service, so I look forward to your report!

The admin on the other forum is very credible and respected, it's basically like being a MOD on this forum. Would you just go around posting non-credible information and risk your title? No......he happens to be very credible and other supervisors/advisors vouche for him.

His friend on the VZW council said that they will be getting the HTC Incredible sometime this week for testing. IT'S NOT BETA TESTING. He specifically said that they are getting the device to test RIGHT BEFORE RELEASE!!!!

Im pretty sure this goes in line with what Brian has said about getting devices to test right before they release the phone?

I had a flashback. I remember when cell phones were for making telephone calls. Monochromatic small screens, a game or two, like snake, a few telephone numbers in the address book, big keypad small screen. Calling people on the cell phone was amazing back then. Not anymore. Things have really changed.

To be honest though, I wouldn't be surprised if I checked online, and saw "Incredible Coming Tomorrow". That's just how Verizon operates. Take it from somebody who waited on XV6900 (aka. HTC Touch/Vogue), HTC Touch Pro, HTC Touch Pro 2... officially, VZW doesn't say a word.

Yeah, I was waiting for the 6900 and had to take a second look because all of a sudden it was there!
