OT for a moment...forgive me
Do you realize the amount of money that consumer product companies pay to get the kind of feedback that this forum provides on a daily basis? I mean, if this were a business case study in grad school, we'd all be laughing at the arrogant, bloated management style of the company in question...and sadly, they have so much arrogance wrapped around their network, that they actually believe that the consumer will live with inferior hardware no matter what.
What they are failing to grasp is that those days are done...network is eventually going to be a non-issue...the faithful have been fighting the iPhone temptation for so long...and the Android phones FINALLY give us what we need. And to simply choose not to be competitive with hardware at this point - ludicrous. You can feel the tone in this forum - if we don't have what we need soon, we'll simply leave. We want phones with advanced, competitive features, form factor, functionality - *uck your network.
And here's the kicker...once we're gone, the likelihood that we ever return? Try never. To have endured for so long and never get the payoff...we'll never forget.
So you VZW employees, pass this along because it should be a warning. The introduction of this phone may seem relatively meaningless to your company, but to the passionate faithful, it's meant a lot. Clearly, your window of opportunity is closing. Trust me, when we leave we'll have lots to say to our friends, family, businesses.
When the castle is crumbling, the execs will be wondering how it could have gone so wrong so quickly. The press will be speculating what went wrong. Meanwhile, I, along with many of my fellow forum members, will be smirking because we'll know that it started around this phone that is rapidly becoming known as the HTC "compared to everything else out there it's really not that" Incredible.
Peace...
