MAY 11th???? Confused!

I got a real problem with you inferring that I am a little girl there Big Slim....we were warned before by the mods. Just relaying the message.
lol cry about it, welcome to the Internet. Hope you enjoy your stay.

Do you really think that twittering that you love Android 2.2 on your 32gb flash card is some kind of "offense" worthy of getting the thread shut down? (oh no! the horror!)

I thought it was funny. And it was on topic (topic being the HTC Incredible). We aren't talking about photoshopping some pictures/faking a calendar/etc. Anyone who really thinks that there is someone out there playing on an HTC Incredible (not released yet) on Android 2.2 (not released yet) with a 32gb card (costs about as much as a subsidized phone) is dumb.

EDIT: I repeat again. Internet forum posts about an average "top tier" phone: Serious business.

OK... now THAAAT'S the finest first post I've ever seen! :)

I was going to wait to post until my contact at Verizon said that I could show you all this press release thing that he sent me regarding some Incredible new phone, but every time I ask him about it, he keeps saying "two weeks," or "very soon." So, I jumped the gun.

I'm also suspicious about his attire. Apparently, though he supposedly works at Verizon, he wears an AT&T polo to work every day. I'm not sure he can be trusted any more.

OT for a moment...forgive me

Do you realize the amount of money that consumer product companies pay to get the kind of feedback that this forum provides on a daily basis? I mean, if this were a business case study in grad school, we'd all be laughing at the arrogant, bloated management style of the company in question...and sadly, they have so much arrogance wrapped around their network, that they actually believe that the consumer will live with inferior hardware no matter what.

What they are failing to grasp is that those days are done...network is eventually going to be a non-issue...the faithful have been fighting the iPhone temptation for so long...and the Android phones FINALLY give us what we need. And to simply choose not to be competitive with hardware at this point - ludicrous. You can feel the tone in this forum - if we don't have what we need soon, we'll simply leave. We want phones with advanced, competitive features, form factor, functionality - *uck your network.

And here's the kicker...once we're gone, the likelihood that we ever return? Try never. To have endured for so long and never get the payoff...we'll never forget.

So you VZW employees, pass this along because it should be a warning. The introduction of this phone may seem relatively meaningless to your company, but to the passionate faithful, it's meant a lot. Clearly, your window of opportunity is closing. Trust me, when we leave we'll have lots to say to our friends, family, businesses.

When the castle is crumbling, the execs will be wondering how it could have gone so wrong so quickly. The press will be speculating what went wrong. Meanwhile, I, along with many of my fellow forum members, will be smirking because we'll know that it started around this phone that is rapidly becoming known as the HTC "compared to everything else out there it's really not that" Incredible.

Peace...

Oh crap, you've got Alzheimer's already?

And, hello everyone. I'm new here.

It's in the advanced stages now... I suggested that he had Alzheimer's back in my first post a few hundred pages ago. :D

Steven should be given the title "official ambassador of the official incredible forum" as many of us tend to make our first posts at his expense (and a few of us at his invitation). Thanks Steven! :p

MAY 11th???? Confused!
\

Clearly he has a time machine. He went forward, saw an article written May 11 saying that it was released two weeks from April 6. He then came back and told us. Now, was that so hard to understand? :)

As Wifi becomes more prevalent, the network will be even less important. Of course, I still think the network IS important, but you are right that it is becoming less important. In addition, I think more and more people are willing to sacrifice network coverage for a very cool phone.

"It's a show about nothing!"

NKT had ZERO new information and the rest of the somewhat relevant posts are about people speculating that Apple is actually calling the shots for Verizon's release dates.

Ur kidding, right? NKT confirmed that his tester buds have units with the release key version of the software load. Related posts confirmed what that means, which is that TESTING IS OVER and the release version is with VZW.

Sometimes I wonder if some people even read this stuff. That said, even the best posts and discussions are quickly buried under pages of rubbish posts. Its kinda counter productive. Peeps come here to get info, and feel obliged to bury the info that turns up with mountains of random stuff. Today's pron tweet thing took the cake. The thread is getting pretty raggy.
