Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Super user vs super su

So I'm reading through the playstore comments and alot of people are bashing one and praising the other. Citing one to be "smoother".

The only time I ever even know either apps is installed is when it asks for root permissions. I guess they're working because root requiring apps work. So how do people know which one is "smoother". How can they tell?!?

I always used the regular old superuser until I started running AOKP roms and super su was installed with it. It seems as the latter is the preferred choice for all the main developers so what's good for them is good for me.

But that's my point exactly. How do they know? Cm10 is equipped with s/u and aokp with s/s. They both work. I can't tell how smooth.

I dont know what can be smooth about one and not on the other. It asks for an approval. lol. Super SU has more features implemented in it I think. Most devs now use Super SU. Every ROM I've seen for the Nexus uses Super SU except for CM for whatever reasons. But I don't know what can be smooth about it. How smooth it asks you for permission? lol. I'm sure either one does the job the exact same but one has more or less the features than the other.

Then it's settled. Those people making comments are either just trying to sound like they know, or it's all a big conspiracy. Lol.

Haha. Yeah that's why Im laughing. Who would argue that? That's like arguing that the battery icon is really smooth when discharging. Pfffff

superuser is open source thats why cm uses it. supersu is nicer IMO and gets updated much faster due to the Chainsdd currently being deployed, so when jellybean came out (4.1 and 4.2) superuser was broke and wouldnt work yet supersu already worked fine.

i personally prefer supersu regardless :)

Ok. Things like this I can understand. The smoother thing is what confused me.

lol they both do the same job i dont think neither of them out performs the other. perhaps what it comes down to is user interface looks preference. although now that we are on the topic ive been seeing something about super user elite, does anyone have it? im thinking about getting it since i like the term that says no such thing as too many tools in your tool box ;) i suppose i would have to uninstall one to replace the other?

I have Su elite it just unlocks a few options not available in the free version.
Superuser grants and manages root permissions on your rooted phone. This package gives you access to additional features not available to basic users.
Current extra features include:
- Advanced log management
- Per app notification/logging settings
- Pin protection for Superuser prompt
- NFC tag allow (where hardware supports it)
- Ghost mode
- App list and preferences backup/restore
- Featured Root apps list
Proposed Elite features:
- Settings backup/restore
- sqlite installer/verifier
- Root console

There you go. I got it cause I wanted to support Chainsdd especially since he is serving our country.
Hope this helps,
Doug

Blackbean uses supersu. When I first flashed this rom I deleted it & installed superuser. For some reason I had all kinds of problems lol. So I reflashed BB, & left supersu alone. Bo problems for a month now. I'm just gonna stick with what the dev uses. He's the expert, I'm just the user lol

Are you sure you didn't remove root access when you deleted super su?
