I agree about chilling out, at least he's talking about taking the day off to play with his new toy... I on the other hand would screw you by playing with it on your dime, hell I'm on this forum on your dime so SHUT THE HELL UP.

Alright, so the real post this time...

I have gotten independent (read: not regurgitation of this thread) confirmation from a friend (and source...but friend first) who works for a certain popular site we all frequent (with "gadget" in the name...you figure it out) that the 4/29 date is confirmed to them as well from their VZW corporate account rep.

Furthermore, they expect to have a unit within the next 10 days to review and plan to (still working out details with VZW) publish a review to coincide with the phone's release (similar was done with Droid release).

Hope this comes as welcome news to you guys...i know it did to me.

Show of hands, who's getting a little excited about this thing being released??? :eek:

But what if his job description is "doing stuff that's putting this country in the crapper"? In that case, let us all pray that he is playing with his new phone!

Looong time lurker, finally drawn out of the woods by the good news. This will be my first smartphone, so I'm really excited (like I'm the only one here...)

Anyway, regarding this question:

Some poster a few days ago said he got the Eris at BB after asking a whole lot about their return policy (in fact, he flat out told them he planned to return it for a MotoDroid and then for an Incredible). The reps at BB said they had no problem with that, and there was no restocking fee. So it sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

I do have another related question, though. I have an 18% discount on my monthly plan because of my employer, and I have been told I have some discounts on accessories and (certain) phones because of the same reason. Does anyone know if Best Buy can take those discounts into account? I have a feeling that this is not the case (I can't even get that discount online). I'm thinking my best bet will be to ask at a VZW retail for the final price of the Incredible, and if it is the same I'll go to Best Buy instead.
