I am too tired to go back and read. I was on during my son's nap earlier, but looks like I missed a lot. Could ya'll catch me up?

the phone's coming out in and around the 25th .... there were leaked internal notifications from Best Buy and Verizon. Lots and lots of banter including humor from yours truly. ;)

I remain your humble servant,
Steven

Aww, we are in class together? Sweet! Who is the teacher and whats the name of the class? (lol, this might be interesting)

Anonimac is the teacher and Phases is one of the principals... you don't wanna mess him and two spirits or two spoons or whatever his name is .... two sporks? ;)

Yes that's what I was refering too I guess I didn't explain myself...anyhow this is the Best Buy Weekly ad for April 4th-10th

FileSend - BBY04102010.pdf

So does this match up with the relase info we have from the pdf from Kappy?

any updates on whether this phone will support A2DP? I'm trying to plan out which headset I'm going to buy with it. I don't see anything in this post (that's been followed up on) or evergreen post

What are the chances of being able to order the phone online and have it delivered on/before the 29th (assuming that is the corrrect release day)?

Maybe their article should have read; "Regardless what comes out of Cupertino, we know the one feature that Apple/ATT won't be able to offer consumers is the ability to make clear calls anytime, anyplace and anywhere without getting a dropped call."

Too bad call quality offered by a network is never taken into consideration when doing these reviews. All the latest features in the world will not make up for this device being unable to do what it was designed to do.....make a phone call.

***Edit for Apple Fanbois

Before anyone starts flaming, I owned the iphone for approx 2 years before moving to the Droid......so save it

i disagree, I have no issues with the iphone.. I live right next to an at&t tower work next to and AT&T tower and all my traveling is next to the AT&T tower and I only have 2 to 6 dropped calls a day!!!

** this was a joke I own a bb curve on altel now verizon and have no issues with dropped calls even traveling but my source told me about their Iphone..:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Long time customer here. I have had Verizon (initially Bell Atlantic) service for over 25 years and only 4 phones in that time, so I am long overdue. I have been eligible for NE2 for several years now. 8-)

Unless there is some last minute bad news, I will be getting the Incredible.

I want to purchase directly from Verizon, but have questions about on-line versus corporate store.

Will Verizon service/exchange phones purchased on-line on a walkin basis at the corporate store?

Will it cost more for activation or other things if I purchase at a corporate store?

Thanks,
Steve

Actually VZW has a BTA (Bill to Amount) that varies, and ranges up to $750 for a consumer account. Things such as dollar value of the rate plan, length of service, pay history, etc. figure into the determination of a customer's BTA. If you have been a customer less than 6 months, or have had your phone hotlined (cut-off) in the last 6 months, you will not qualify for any BTA. The BTA for a business is theoretically unlimited and is done "within reason."

You can split tender with VZW. So, if you choose you may charge up to the limit of your BTA and pay the rest in one or more other tenders if you desire.

The BTA amount is due 20 days after your next statement prints.

Aahhhh, thanks. I guess that's what she meant by "based on your account status..."

I'll give you a preview of the **gadget review:

"While the Incredible is probably the best android phone to date, it still lacks some features that makes the iphone so popular. With the next generation coming out of Cupertino this June, we'd have a hard time recommending anybody to take the android plunge just yet."

I swear they and gizmodo both rent space out of Apple headquarters to run their businesses.

I wonder what features it lacks that the iPhone has:
1) The dropped call feature
2) The lack of rural coverage feature
3) The closed app approval feature
4) The remove your app from the store because it'll compete with our app feature
Or perhaps another one I'm forgetting ....................

Probably pretty good. I believe you could order the devour from BB a few days before Feb 25th when it released in store.
