hey folks this is my first post and im wondering if any one has heard or read anything about the saygus v phone. some one i know has hit me up to invest in this company so im doin a lil research on them first. any one ever seen or heard of someone that has seen the vphone in working order. they seem to be claiming they can service two way vid at a lower bandwidth with a faster blah blah blah so any info you have would be helpful thanks
I have been following (or attempting to anyway) the Saygus VPhone since it was announced at CES in January. This is also when I got first wind of the Incredible.
I have actually spoken to someone at Saygus only once in early February. I have made repeated calls to them since then only to receive what seems to be a voice mail for a cell phone which their main number gets forwarded to. They told me in February their phone had passed Verizon certification. I have clients who would be interested in that phone and its capabilities and wanted to learn more about it. I have yet to receive a returned call for any of the numerous messages I have left.
I saw earlier today on some link that was posted here a roundup of all upcoming Verizon phones. The VPhone was one of them with an expected release of May 2010. This is the ONLY place I have seen that.
I have grown very suspect of this company and would hesitate before doing ANY investing. Any company who cannot return a simple business call regarding their product(s) deserves close scrutiny. I have not been able to find much on this company other than what they say about themselves on their site and a couple of interviews they have done at trade shows. They claim to have some proprietary video compression software. If true, this could have its uses in the mobile arena.
I remain suspect of any company which cannot or will not return business calls. The Incredible is a far superior phone manufactured by a far more reputable company as well, so, I won't be getting a personal VPhone even if it came out tomorrow.
