One more question here about battery life. Since we're getting a stock 1300 mah batter will there be a way to buy a higher capacity battery (say 2000 mah) ?? I've never purchased a backup for any of my phones but because I'm not loving the battery life here I'm not interested in something like that.

Several different manufacturers (i.e. Seidio) will make extended life batteries for the phone as well as a new cover to incorporate that larger capacity.

Isn't the Incredible a bit too hyped?
It's basically a Nexus One.

+ With 8 MP Camera
+ 8 GB internal memory
+ 802.11n
+ A tiny bit smaller
- Shorter battery life?
- No noise canceling mic?

What do you think? Does it have other advantages compared to the N1?

From the UM:
"If you have a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account and you have added it on your phone, you can sync your phone

Not sure if this is the place for this or if this is an obviously stupid question but, can you still download android apps to this phone? or only HTC widgets?

I'm VERY excited to see that we'll be getting "Voice to Text" ... I was a little nervous it would be a feature we'd lose with the Sense UI ... Can't wait to use it while I'm Driv ... er ... Sitting on my couch :D

What do people think of the "default" wallpaper?

FM Tuner.

Man....I take my kid to the playground....and come back to THIS!? Outrageous! Glad he got tired of the swings so early. ;)

What an amazing day to be an incredible fan!!

LOVE the watermark on the front of the manual...PHANDROID EXCLUSIVE! WELL DONE, FOLKS!!!

No, it's more like an HTC Desire.

All those plusses, plus!:

+ Try it in store before you buy.
+ Verizon will service/do warranty stuff (N1 has to be sent back to Google. Not cool)
+ FM Radio
+ HTC Sense (which is a ++ in my book)
+ We actually have a release date on it
+ Sharper looking case. That matte/two-tone look on the N1 is yuck.
+ No nippl... I mean, trackball
+ Better working touch sensitive buttons under the screen.

Hyped, sure. But at least people will actually get to touch it and decide before dropping bones on a phone. Ask T-Mobile how the N1 is working out for them...

I missed some pages, can someone tell me when the release date is?

You won't get a battery with that much power in it without getting a custom back that sticks out more for a larger battery.

If anything, I'd just use the mini usb cable to charge it from your computer at work if it becomes that big of an issue. Right now I have a phone that has less battery life and I make it through the day even though I might spend about a total of an hour that day playing emulators (can't get any more battery sucking software than that).

how are snes, nes, etc...emulators on a touch screen phone?

ive played on a droid with the keyboard, but for anyone that has played on an eris maybe? how is it?
