Damn it... I just unplugged my laptop and moved it then plugged it back in and the part that connects to the computer pushed in :mad: and my screen went black :eek: its fried!!! I can't live without a laptop... I'm leaving to get a new one, this thing was free and old as dirt anyway, any recommendations?

if you WANT a laptop, your best bet is tigerdirect or newegg (.com) look for the refurb's they have some great deals i promise you!!! i got a refurb'd acer laptop like 5 years ago and the thing is running strong still to this day!!! i installed my own clean version of windows etc.. but needless to say it was the best investment i made till this day lol, but if you could go with a pc, i strogly suggest to build your own (from same sites i mentioned above) can get a barebones kit and buy all the best stuff but skimp out on ram and hdd at first so it'll be cheap :D can always upgrade ram and hdd later lol

anywhoo :D to the #2'ers out there.. i just finished some cool mods on esteem version and i will start porting them over here.. but sadly there is just no way i can theme the contacts properly without a device to test on... so if someone else is willing to theme it ill be glad to add it int the rom ;) thank you all for your patience
 
Just flashed v1.5 #2! Phone is much faster now, battery lasts longer and web is super fast, even on 4G. Great work ldrifta!

I'm hoping santa will bring me a Motion or that new Avid for Christmas... If I get one you may potentially have a loaner for your #2 work LOL..... We's almost neighbors :D

I extracted it and tried it from LD-LG v1.2 but it wouldn't wrk for some reason on the stock ROM, so after reading your post I decided to take it from v1.1 and bam... all is good :) I still didn't go and buy a laptop yet so I have to dwnload everything again on my phone, it's very hard giving up $700+ lmmfao!! Thx for your help again, hope all is good. Merry Christmas -or- Feliz Navidad :D

I got it up and running right now. I just finished re applying all my apps+data and so far I'm loving it. I haven't had a chance to go through the whole phone just yet but from what i have done so far seams like this update/test is fast to the touch with everything for me, not a bit of lag on the keyboard with the phone underclocked at around 300mhz (it used to lag real bad b4 at those speeds) and I'm digging the noti. bar. Great job L :-)
 
Okay, So far I am loving it!

I think the contact app looks pretty sharp... No need for the MMS2.zip that I posted above. (I am quite fond of the "+Msg").

Also love the new option bar thingy with quick link to settings, and showing my provider...

I have noticed that when I turn WiFi on the 4G/PCS signal icon disappears in the top bar, and returns when I turn off WiFi. It leaves a blank space...

I think that is it for my first impressions... I will edit my post and include pix later...

EDIT: My phone just froze then hard rebooted on me... lol no clue what happened there... I did force uninstall of Holo Launcher, as I use ADW... Maybe I borked it?

I downloaded it first thing this morning and so far it's good. I luv the setting toggel in the notibar thts bad ass!! And all the widget toggles stay in the center when I put it in landscape. Although I luv the theme of the mms.apk I like how beastcandy let's you view all the txt. So I'm using the mms.apk from tht ROM at this time. I haven't had any reboots and so far all is quick :D I'm still testing and will keep up posted.

Scrolling speed is still fast/smooth.

Gaahh this thing iss soooo smoooooothhh, haha friggin awesome! and like everyone has said, the lil settings toggle on the notification/status bar is sweeeet haha. This is an awesome update :D:D:D

Only one thing though, bluetooth... no luck. Blah. Oh and the lil extra space after going from wifi to 4g and and what not, i have that spacing too... Other than that, this thing is Sa-WEET :D

Well before they were to the left in landscape, which defiantly looked odd. Now they are dead center which looks sexy IMO.

Also I have noticed the menu bar changing to a grey color with a light colored app. That looks really slick...

As for the 4G icon Disappearing as mentioned in previous post, and becoming a blank space. It seems to just be a glitch with the 4G icon, when a alternative network is present like wifi or airplane mode.

Also check out these new pix of some glitches I did with your new bar, as well as some misc pix from the new update. =D
 
Random "duh" moment - I have tried to reboot to recovery from ROM Toolbox and it just keeps doing a regular reboot. How do I force a reboot to recovery? Which key do I hold or whatever?
 
init.d tweaks with random number generation tweak
Build.prop tweaks for smoother performance, better battery.
Most notifications, ringtones, have been removed.
SwypeCore.so library file and others removed.

Volume Down+Power. A screen will come up about doing a reset, disregard it and just go ahead and hit the power key a couple times and it will take you to the recovery screen.

lol what device is this for? connect or s3? if people say it runs good/better than yeah ill implement your things into it lol hard for me to know whats best on a device i dont own.. but im jus confused lol, i have an update un-released with a few more fixes but if people say your version runs smoother than ill add in the changes before a release

I guess im going to be the first to test it out. I don't have an eye for performance increases, so unless its more than slightly I doubt i'll notice a difference but we'll see. :)
