Root [ROM]{MS840} Number_Two v1.8 ~ ZVA

So what i said earlier about only noticing a difference when it's more than slightly... well I noticed a difference. And the launcher was changed again (back to holo) which I prefer personally.
However there's something weird with the transparent top bar. I'll post pics in a bit.

Unless thats the way a transparent top bar works... O.o??

lol yeah it stays transparent, you can also make the background of app drawer transparent in launcher settings, i usually do between 50-60%

as for the 4g spacing.. hopefully it's fixed in the next update :D

Not sure if this helps but the 4g spacing isn't a problem when i have a theme installed over the rom.
btw didn't know about the transparent drawer. looks alot better now thanks.

Yea seems that "version 2" is the only ROM that is being updated and worked on! Thanks Developer! Keep up the great work! I'm on Black Plaque now and I still get a bunch of ghost rebooting even after using it for 2 months I think I will have to try version two again...

Btw if I installed version 2 again how hard is it to change the launcher cause I bought Holo launcher and I would like to install it on version 2 when I decide to switch?

oticed that while it stays plugged in it doesn't reboot that much maybe one or twice during 10 hours or so. But running on the battery it reboots A LOT....

I've been using rom number 2 since version 1.1 and I don't even remember the last time the phone rebooted on me. And when I used to use black plague it would only reboot maybe 5 times a day. 15 times seems a little farfetched to me. Either way use rom number 2 and I'm sure you'll be delighted. As for the launcher, probably not hard to change. Just install over I guess? Then set as default.
 
I'm on rom #2 1.3v and when my battery gets low between 10-15% it starts to reboot and won't stop until i plug in the charger. Is this problem fixed on the latest build? Also my brother is running black plague and i want to flash rom #2 but can't get into recovery. Tried the power and down volume. Tried Rom manager and nothing. It just reboots. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Its been a while since you've updated, but I've never had/nor heard of that problem. Seems odd,maybe do a battery recalibration?? But I still suggest flashing lastest.

As for you recovery problem, it sounds like somehow you must've removed recovery. Try reflashing cwm.
 
I've been having that same battery problem for a min now when my battery gets low and ive tryed the calibration method. The only thing that stoped it from rebooting when it got low is when I borrowed the batt. from my daughters motion and tested it out for a day to c if it was just my batt. that was the problem, and low and behold it was. Now I just gotta get a different batt. cause as we all have come to realize the stock batt. sux somethin fierce

When youre holding down the volume dwn+power to get into recovery you have to keep them held dwn until the recovery screen appears or I should say the factory reset screen because thts the screen tht comes up first. A lot of ppl let go when they see the lg screen but tht don't work, even if you don't have the cwm installed from here the stock recovery should still appear instead of the phone just rebooting. (I think) :D

I used this method

I bought a new battery (meant for the lucid) for the extra juice and I used this method straight out the box aand it gave me an extra 9%. But like i said i never had the problem you do so maybe you should just get a new battery as schemppjr80 mentioned.

I thought you could only use data for mms? I never use wifi for mms cause they never did send, as far as I remember. :confused:

Edit: P.s. What's odd is that I can browse the internet on the data just wont send mms texts or receive them.

2nd Edit:Just installed gosms to see if that fixed the problem, I seems to be able to send pics on the app now, but still can't receive them, it says message expired like the stock sms app says.

3rd Edit:With alot of tinkering I finally got it to work. Since Re-flashing Rom#2v1.6 did not work as a fix.
 
WARNING
Everyone who installed the user's(name I forgot) version of number 2. He called it 1.7. Anyway last night while it was charging, my phone started rebooting.. (hasn't happened to me in months) and it rebooted 12 times continuously without giving me enough time to even unluck the phone. I had to pull the battery and restore to before I installed 1.7

Also to ldrifta
you said you may implement his changes into your new update, and no previous version of your original updates has ever caused my phone to do this.
 
I can't believe I missed the post containing v1.7 :mad: I would've tested the hell out if it and helped determine the pros/cons of it for ldrifta, my bad everyone. I see tht 1 person so far has tested it out and has some reboots happening. I just downloaded it and made my backup, I will install it right now and I will report my findings as they occur.

It wasn't a release from ldrifta, incase you didn't catch that. I'm sure you did though, but just incase :p

I've already had it for a long while, but lets see what you find out as well :p

Still watching for ldrifta to release something; anything!
 
Hey guys, I just made this account to let you know I also tested the other users 1.7 and had the same exact resetting problem. after about 6 hours my battery dropped to about 33% and my phone began to reboot over and over til I had no choice but pull the battery.

I've been following and using #2 for a while now and just want to say thank you.

Thanks for taking your time to make an account, and report back to us what your experiences were. :) I had a similar experience. Might have been because of his so called battery saving tweaks in the build.prop.
 
Quick question to those who used the "unofficial" v1.7. Before you flashed it did you happen to do ldrifta's full wipe and start 100% completely clean?
 
Its no problem. Glad I can help :)

I know I did a complete wipe and installed completely clean. I really did get the feeling it happened when reaching a.certain charge level... but I can't be sure.
