It just uses the headphones as an antenna. I believe you can still play the music through the phone speakers from the menu. But any 3.5mm headphones should work ... I Believe

Sorry, not to deflate anyone but we do need to remember that this is first and foremost a TEST site.. those graphics are probably left over from January when they re-did the price plans..

Unlimited mobile to mobile Minutes is different then Unlimited Minutes you get Unlimited mobile to mobile (any mobile any network) not Unlimited Minutes.
 
I read that google maps for android is coming.

I didn't expect them to tell me much, but thought since so much info is 'out there' now they might at least confirm that its coming...

The manager overhears the conversation and says its just a rumor and the Incredible will never be coming to Verizon. He says its GSM phone and he thinks "T-Mobile will pick it up". He look like kind of a doosh and said this as he was walking out so I didn't press him or the clerks on it (who were totally clueless).

So I headed over to another Verizon store a mile away and the young kid says he's heard about it (in general) but nothing from Verizon. He said it would probably be at least 2 months since they haven't gotten any info.

I don't believe either of them really knows much, but why lie? I assume that they just want to sell a phone today and don't want people to wait another month. I bet their sales have PLUMMETED in the few weeks since so many people are waiting for the really good phones to come out...

Its one thing for the stores to say the have no information, but I just didn't expect them to lie!

You need to understand a few things... first, we aren't supposed to say anything about it. We are supposed to tell you "I can neither confirm nor deny..." but as far as VZW is concerned, if they knew about it and told you they had no clue, they're happy with that - they didn't give out info they weren't supposed to.

Secondly, some people really have no clue. Just because you read about it online doesn't mean that's what everyone at VZW does when they have free time. No trainings have launched internally for this phone yet. I'm sure 85% of VZW employees STILL have no idea this is coming.

These are things that you guys don't understand because you actually care to read up on things.

I don't see why it wouldn't work on the Incredible. I think it'll work with any phone running 2.1, in fact I think the Droid has some features the Nexus One doesn't. On the Droid Review for Google Earth you could rotate your picture using Multi-Touch (Something not possible on the Nexus)

So hopefully if the Incredible has resolved the Multi Touch issue Google Earth may be fun and with the 8GB Internal Memory may be worth installing.

Would not be at all surprised if that was part of it. The design apparently provides for the speaker to not be directly blocked by whatever the phone is resting on. Good point.
 
So from what can be deduced by the UG images, it will be similar in looks to the HD2, whereas I have seen images that liken it to the current N1. I don't like the N1's look as much, but I guess what really matters is what's under the hood. Thoughts? I'm referring mostly to the squared edges (HD2) versus the rounded ones (N1).
 
Hi everyone this is my first post on this forum :)
I have been at the nexusoneforums.net website for a while
I was anxiously waiting for the Verizon Nexus One to come out...
I seem to to have turned tides for now.( I have previously owned a eris and returned it). I actually saw this thread way back on its first couple of pages so I'm not tooo far behind. I am so looking forward to getting this device on the 25th or 29th.
My only Downer so far is that it doesn't come with a headset/headphones like the nexus one did but I guess I can survive with my old ipod headphones.
None the less keep up your leaking :) wwoohooo
 
So did we ever come up with a reason that the user guide is showing 576MB RAM and the hijacked spec sheet is saying it has 512MB RAM? Is that not an issue?
 
I know this has been discussed previously, but now that we have most of the specs pretty much confirmed, who's gonna be hoping for a stronger battery that is the same size as the stock one ASAP? How long does Seido normally take to come out with those?

Unless the one designed for the Nexus will fit in the Incredible, but they're prob a bit different in shape.
