Root [ROM] HTCCM10 build 20130102 *Touch Screen Addon

I will state this right now for the record I can not stand Sense it drives me batty! Give me the look and feel of AOSP and I am a happy camper. The only thing I may work on in the future is Ubuntu for Mobile when they release the source unless some one beats me to the punch. I am perfectly happy hanging up the dev hat

Well. Ubuntu mobile would certainly be awesome. And much better than running the full desktop os on my phone

Make us a nice AOKP :-P
Also, wifi is working with buttered toast while it didn't with Mac. Haven't played with it enough yet to see if there's other issues.

Running this with Anthrax 3.7.0 and it's the best it's ever ran on the Evo. Only hiccup is that dreaded fc when volume is being adjusted on YouTube. Not sure what else since I'm just using it as a Wi-Fi device and media player.

1.6ghz
Lag free
SIO

I always use a bare bones init.com.post_boot.sh when I use anthrax and I never have a problem with AOSP ROMs.

Also, not sure if the half click on the dedicated camera button works without editing any files, but I do it as a routine.

Go to:

System > usr > keylayout > Generic.kl

Open up Generic.kl in text editor, go down to key 211. Add a line right under "# key 211 "KEY HP" and type:

key 211 FOCUS

Don't type a "#"

It should look like this

# key 211 "KEY HP"
key 211 FOCUS
key 212 CAMERA

Reboot.

Edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention I'm having zero issues with playing MP3s. Could be kernel related?

Confirmed: MAC kernel ( Sense-less ) does not have working radios, where as buttered toast does.

Interesting note: Since I am now running jb_hboot 1.50.5050 and TWRP 2.3.3 the install of the bt kernel had a script that allowed for customization, one step being setting to non-sense envelopment. Thus unlike MAC there is only one BT kernel file and thus your recovery must be able to run the installer script.

This is the first CM based rom that was stable with my phone. Even GANGNAM style wanted to reboot left and right, i think it may have been an issue with TWRP2.3.x and Hboot1.04, but ive downgraded to TWRP1.1.x and formatted all partitions to be recognized before flashing your CM rom. Everything has worked perfect so far, no complaints other than I'm so used to sense and this is a bit different. Thanks for the great work g60, and no reason to quit dev'ing just bc someone else does similar work, I know for a fact there are dev-loyal flashers who would love to use your work still

I had the kernel question also, wanting to slight OC. So Buttered Toast DOES work so far? Any other kernels known to be compatible with CM10? I perfer MAC and Butter so I will definately have to try this :smokingsomb:

So far buttered toast is working great. Haven't set overclocking at all yet though. Had pocketcasts lock up the first time I loaded it, but been fine since.
Also installed Seeder which seems to have made things even smoother.
Folder organizer keeps telling me it crashed, though I haven't actually seen a problem. Not sure if it's caused by cm10, buttered toast, seeder, or some combination.
I really need to downgrade twrp.1.1.1 was so much faster.

Edit: Folder Organizer crashing is due to seeder.

Awesome thanks for the info. I do like the touch of twrp 2.3, especially if my back cover is off, but i never had any issues with 1.1 and seems to be compatible with all hboots. i got to the point on 2.3 that i couldnt restore any backups it would fail everytime

How does Chrome work on this rom? I've been using PA for a while and I'm quite happy with it, but chrome has been rife with graphical glitches and it's extremely difficult to use, especially in conjunction with Swype.

Chrome has bugs on Sense based ROMs too. Google claims its a GPU driver issue.

This was pretty heavy on data as you can see...
 pretty good for cm10.

I flashed this rom last night and battery life is amazing, rom is smooth as butter!

Only thing i notice was when the soft button lights turns off, the search button stays on! until the phone screen turns off, not complaining just notice that, not a deal breaker for me.

Rom is stable, for me, no reboots of FC at all.

Thanks again g60madman

FC on first mp3 play on stock kernel, played fine after that, but most of you already knew that ;)

Battery life so far. All Wi-Fi. 1900mAh battery.

I really need to S-OFF so that i can install this. I just got my phone a few days ago. I've rooted and I'm running mobster rom currently. S-OFF just looks like a real pain. But I've gotta get on it. I'm a big CM fan and a big g60 fan. So yeah, I need this in my life...

A pain, no. Time consuming? It can be. I procrastinated forever on this

. So as dastin1015 continues to add support for VM you will probably see me stop releasing ROM's.

I'll note that gangnam style's shootervm rom still doesn't have working mms, nor any vmu apns.. I'm at a loss of what vm support is added in that rom.

Your rom doesn't need any modification, so your work is still appreciated.

One issue I found was on Voxer, when sending and receiving messages. Can't hear the message someone sent me. Voxer Not sure if kernel can fix this, gonna flash buttered toast anyways.

1st off...g60... thank u my friend for giving me what the HTC evo 3d has been missing this whole time...cm10 with working MMS. This is my daily from here on out. One question, idk if this is possible but do u know of any way to make the capacitive buttons stay on all the time when the screen is on? Normally I wouldn't mind but I've got one of those evo's where even when the other buttons are off, the search key stays lit due to a light leak...yeah... total suck fest I know. Again, thank u for all the hard work and thanks to everyone who made MMS possible. Best goddamned dev community on the web. Hands down. Right here, evo 3d/evo v 4g forums. Don't fark with us lol.

So I ran into my first problem today with the ROM, when recording video it will not playback on the device its all wavy. I have not tried to copy the video off to play on the workstation. Just wanted to check if others are having the same problem.
