Today has put the doubters in their place, and the outstanding intel gathering reported here over the last two months or so has been validated in almost all respects.

Anonimac, NKT, viper, Armbar and many many others have done great work. Thanks all, and congrats to Phandroid for what is clearly the news and info leader on the Inc.

I'm off to Hawaii on Saturday. If I had an Inc I'd be following the thread, so the release data may be doing me a favor.

can't follow on your current phone? use the mobile version! I have an xv6800 and have to use the mobile skin cause this phone sux donkey balls.

Not sure about others, but my desire for FM radio is so that i can tune into the TV's at the gym while I am working out. They put FM transmitters on them. That way I can watch my Hanna Montana while I pump iron!

You seem to be the person to come to when it comes SDHC questions:) so...
Will the class of the memory card affect the speed at all once it's on the phone? Such as opening up pictures, or looking up music, or anything?

edit: wait, nevermind, i re-read your last post, kinda answers it sorry
 
ya i would guess it's a class 2. I would suggest you try it out first and see how it works.

To be honest i don't think the "class" level is all that accurate anyway. Try it out and if it takes to long to save a photo you'll want to invest in something faster. you'll notice it trust me. if it takes a minute to save a picture that's too long.

Lol thank god I check this thread twice or more daily... I would be soooo lost! Just wanted to chime in my thanks as well to all who kept this lively and informative. I knew when I joined these forums I was in the right place for breaking news. Although I had my heart set on an AT&T Desire I have come to realize that sometimes getting what you pay for in service / coverage is more important than the handset I originally wanted (which I fear will be crippled..). I'm leaving the ever slow moving AT&T beind effective 5/11/2010 (ending 11 years of service..prev Cingular customer) and will be in line for an Incredible @ my local Verizon store on launch day... before I came here I never heard of this beast... but thanks to all of you I'm beyond excited to lay hands on this bad boy. I think my first smart phone is going to be simply Incredible!

Now does anyone have any larger images of that red verizon home screen? The manual doesn't do it justice being that small lol!!
 
i just convinced an iphone user to switch over to android and verizon showing him the specs of the inc, and the home screens in the U.G.

Score one for the good guys...My favorite post on Engadget today in response to multitasking on the iPhone was "Welcome to 5 years ago Apple"
 
Hello guys I am here to save the day for anyone doubting these leaks. A couple weeks ago i told you my ex coworker now Verizon store manager told me a superphone was coming out soon codenamed for his store imagio with weird specs to through employees off well its 100% definitely happening. Best buy leaks 100% true I work there. He also said its ready now so could be sooner. And no pics yet only info page that says date but its policy can't tell. But I'm betting 29th he belives there will be a slight change just like the evo in the backing let's pray or its nexus one for me. Which will be on sprint by the end of April. Called them as if i wanted a nexus one to sign up and he told me he had date but can't tell but would be calling me very soon and even put me on a reserve list.

Can you tell I'm in the cell phone business ha ha. Just so you know when they have a date but can't tell its guaranteed out no later than 3 weeks.

Also we will have choices as you know Verizons been quite he assured me between now and end of may we will see about 10 new phones 5 being very nice smartphones. I will personally be at best buy ha ha the day it comes out.

Until then no need to worry 29th I tell you is guaranteed.

Verizon will be #1 and stay #1. Especially when they get the iphone.


And I'm doing this all from my eris while listening to Pandora. Take that AT&T.

my source told me the same thing about the crapload of phones coming, dont know about it being that soon, but by summer for sure

I also love how they want to help integrate advertising within the apps. Just like the telemarketer you never wanted! I DVR tv shows so I DON'T have to watch the commercials.

I must be missing something. I asked the question probably a few hundred posts ago regarding the differences between the Incredible and the Sprint HTC EVO and why someone would go with the Incredible.

Other than the earlier release date and having Verizon service/coverage, is there anything that the Incredible beats the EVO on?

Judging from the excitement and number of threads on this today, the Incredible must be amazing, but when you look at the EVO specs, it meets or beats everything on the Incredible, doesn't it?

What am I missing? Just trying to figure out what direction to go in the next month or so when I'm up for my new every 2.

that is most likely the proximity sensor or ambient light sensor.

proximity sensor is used to turn the screen off when you go to put the phone to your ear.

the ambient light sensor is used to turn on the back light of the capacitive buttons when it is dark and to turn them off when it is light out.

there should be two circles in that area if the phone is like the eris.
