That would mean a shit tonn of apps would be able to be stored...... thats awesome

They will have all the usuals, I'm sure. Clear plastic snap on, body glove, shell/holster combo, the new semi-hard silicone covers... don't worry, there will be alot!
 
For those that have held the phone...Do you think a company can make a normal back cover or does it have to be shaped the way the factory has it.

I'm really not digging the back..but that prob won't stop me from getting it.
 
Has Google sent an update to allow this? Or is it talking about app backup?

I was talking about apps on the microsd card.
 
The dual LEDs on the back of the phone, next to the camera, are for Flash for the camera.

The notification LED is on the front of the phone

Hi guys

Long time reader, first time poster!

I can not tell you how incredibly excited I am about the release of this phone! Seriously, after watching a video posted here yesterday (about 20 pages back - lol) about 2.1 Sense running on the Desire, all I could say to my wife was "This will seriously sh%t on the iPhone's UI"

I went in to a Verizon store on Tuesday and there were two staff members. The woman knew nothing about the release of the Incredible, however the guy in the store did.

He said "It'll be out in Summer"

I didn't quite grasp what he said, and said "Sorry, did you just say December?"

He said "No, Summer, like June-ish"

I think It's apparent that either staff have been kept in the dark about the release or told to downplay the release to sell more Droids and Pres :(

Oh and in case anyone missed the (Verizon) Incredible's user guide, I upped it to my site, so feel free to snag it :)

Once you put a cover over the phone to protect it from the inevitable drop, you will never notice the back cover. I can't remember the last time I looked at the back cover of my Dare.:o

So does Droid and Devour- all Android phones have micro SD mentioned 3 times in the Equipment Guide for some reason, so I do think it's legit.. I don't think the mods would have posted it if it weren't.. Regarding the 16GB capable vs. 32GB capable, I'm sure its just a list of features, and they check the ones they wanna display.. I'm 100% positive it will be 32GB capable..

Nashdroid did an excellent job with a photo shopped Incredible. His photo looks like the one in the user guide, if the user guide will stay current with the photo.

Thanks, folks, for having some random thread on the internet that I happened across. :) It has kept me from buying some random outdated smartphone a month before a better option should be available. (I've been lurking since about page 250.) Thanks for all the information, everybody!
 
Ok, I'm sold....Been holding out getting a new phone for a month now and this will be my new phone....I think think this will be the best phone on the market upon release..Only one question remaining...Will it have a Micro SD Card with it? I'm selling my Ipod Touch and need somewhere new to put my music, Anybody help....
 
This is definitely a release-day purchase for me. Will this be available at VZW stores on 4/29, or just Best Buys?

Also, since I currently have the 450min voice plan (for $39.99), I cant do one-year upgrades. What's the chance that the VZW store will let me dump my Storm 1 and sign a new contract (I'm on month 14 of a 24 month contract)? I have no problem with paying the unsubsidized price, but I'd like to know all my options.

I'm wondering how or even if it would be possible to use something live the InvisiShield on this phone. I actually don't mind the shape of the back but it does make it difficult for phone protection like the Zaggs.

Hey Morning everyone (well I guess almost afternoon now lol)

It's pretty sweet we received the user manual and other stuff (thanks to all of those involved!).

I think this is on topic and will pertain to the incredible...

I know some people have been talking about the battery life (146 hours standby?)... Ouch, but I think we can all take steps to improve the battery life. 1 thing I have been talking to NKT about is the battery and APPs came up..

I have never owned a smartphone so I don't know what APPs kill the battery. I will work on a "Battery saving post" if people would be kind enough to PM me their own tips, BUT more IMPORTANTLY the APPs that kill battery life. Pretty much popular, basic APPs that most of us will download.

I'd like to help us all out as much as possible. I am anal when it comes to battery life, so I am hoping to have my incredible dialed in. Thanks in advance for any help with this!

Aww, I really like the red accents around the phone, I think it gives it more character. Plus, I think black and red if the best color combination! So I am really looking forward to those red accents around the incredible.

There is a post (within a sticky, I believe) in the Eris forum for tips on improving battery life. I'd imagine many of those would apply to the Incredible as well. http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/19176-optimize-your-droid-eris-battery-life-read.html
