Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

Try going into recovery with power+voldown and wipe and reinstall.
 
Any else needing to pull-battery after installing B7? I dirty flashed (wipe cache only) over B6 last night and it sat with screen off and hardware key backlight on until I pulled the battery. After that, came up fine.

Decided to try again this morning and clean(er) flashed (wiped system and cache, then installed B7 and gapps) and it did exactly the same thing.

Haven't tried a fully clean flash yet (with data wipe), but just thought I'd throw it out there. Never had this happen on previous versions. Anything in B7 that might cause this on purpose or yet another Spectrum "quirk"?
 
I had the same issue last night, except I just held the power button for 10 secs. to shut it off then turned it back on and all was well. I was scared I would end up having the same issues IMUcarmen had, but everything seems fine since that.

I had the same issue. It hung up at a blank screen after the LG logos. I finally just held the power button down a while until it turned off. It booted up fine after that.

I did this, I'm using my old thunderbolt now, but I attempted to install the b7, no dice, and it won't boot on clean installs with anything, I tried sotard, eclipse, cm9, aokp40, cm 10 and aokp 41 and icy fusionrc2.0. And i know it's not your rom cause I put the same one on my friends spectrum... So I think it may be a user error somewhere.. Im just gonna do the. Cab restore tonight

Yeah, I had the same issue. Dirty flashed (on full batter), restarted, blank screen. Pulled battery, then powered back on, it was fine.
 
Sound like beta7 is bad. Is everyone having problems on cm10 or is aokp41 bad also?

The most likely problem is the init changes. The issues that are being reported sound like the same issue I had when the firmware was not mounted early enough.

Yup I've had to do the battery pull every time as well and I've flashed more than anyone probably lol. I've flashed both roms maybe 6 times a piece. I've been in a constant nightmare since yesterday evening and my phone still isn't right because now my battery charges super slow. I was at 50% when I went to bed this morning at 4am and now at 10am it's at 95%

I'm also getting force closes with weather bug elite and calender and I get a weird lag with the Swype trail now. I haven't even really messed with my phone yet so I have no idea what else might be wrong

I assume you've tried restoring a backup of a working system? If that doesn't work, something is wrong in the firmware or your phone hardware decided to get flaky. Flashing a cab file should fix the firmware. So if that doesn't work, I would guess hardware.
 
I wiped from B5 and flashed B7 last night with no issues. I did have to hold the power button on initial boot, but everything has been fine if not better than B5. My LTE widget even works now ;), thanks for all the hard work and dedication TDM, your my hero bro.
Are the 4.2 GAPPS really worth flashing? the only thing im really interested in is the camera and updated gallery, but ive heard the camera is having issues. Maybe ill just be patient for CM10.1 haha. i just cant wait for samsung to announce their newest device in the next few months, then i can go to town on my Spec!

I had two backups I made in TWRP but I erased them after going back to CWM last night. I tried restoring one while in TWRP but it failed. As far as flashing the cab that's not really an option for me because I don't have a stable internet connection to do it with.

The blank screen on the first boot is the only problem I've had thus far (flashed around 7:30 PM EST). I'm also on CyanogenMod.

Battery drain overnight seemed to be less than in B6. Also, out of habit I always run benchmarks after every new flash (I've done so since before they made MTD ROMs for the Fascinate!). My Antutu score was about ten less than on B6, I think, and B6 was slightly lower than B5. Not that benchmarks are that important, I just thought that was interesting.

Only issue I've had was the blank screen right after flashing. Pulled the battery and it rebooted fine. Still testing but battery life seems better.

LTE Toggle widget or does it just go to the menu. And if it is a toggle widget which one is it.
 
I tried flashing the cab but it failed. Actually I used the cab to restore two phone when I first bought it last march but I haven't been able to get it to work since. I'm never sure why because I try and make sure I follow the instructions exactly.

I've had the same issue where after flashing cm10 b7 it would go to a black screen and freeze, I did a dirty flash and a clean one and it did it each time.
 
Great job so far!
One issue I'm having on CM10 B7: USB mass storage doesn't want to mount and can't be unchecked in storage, also had the battery pull issue. Other than that all seems to work fine.

I'm not sure what you mean by this?

EDIT: I think I get it, you're saying while using GPS etc with the phone charging, it is still losing charge? I've read lots of reviews of this charger adding 7-10% per hour while GPS, Pandora, bluetooth, etc were all running. So that probably puts the blame back on the phone to accept a fast enough charge.

my phone works on the pc i'm on for everything else though. I can use mass storage, root, ADB reboot recovery, etc. I just don't get why the cab never works. I really need to get it to work though because I can't have my battery charging as slow as it is now. Something really bad is going on with my phone now and I need to get it fixed.
