Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

Here's an odd error I just noticed. In the stock Calculator app, results show up with some characters mixed in in place of numbers. For example, 250+250=4A0. 5*3=F. Not sure if this is only me, so I didn't want to submit it to the tracker unless someone else confirms.
Thanks!

You're in hex mode. Press menu, then hex panel, then DEC, then press menu again nd go back to basic panel.

You're in hex mode instead of dec mode. You can switch it on the hex panel, which you can get by clicking the settings button.

Jfatica beat me... dang.

had my first reboot yesterday on aokp41 b6 w/that extra .zip you put out to test performance. if i put my phone on the floor of my house...it goes in and out of service. while it had no signal it rebooted. took some time to boot back up too.

I tried asking this question a little bit ago and I guess it didn't get posted since I don't see it anywhere. It may have already been asked but I was wondering if it would be possible to improve the charging rate? I still have the issue where it drains faster than it charges in the car when I'm running GPS and the display is showing; even with the back-light turned down.

That's a kernel feature. The devs are working hard on getting roms going right now. I'm about to start some serious learning so I can implement things like this into a kernel and distribute it. Something you can do in the meantime though, use a charger with a higher amp output. That will help speed up your charging.

Mine charges while running navigation with screen on and playing music, on CM10. It's slow but it does charge!

It could also be your car charger. My Galaxy Nexus died while on my Samsung car charger with fast charge and whatnot fully implemented and enabled on the rom/kernel side. That led me to buy this heavy duty car charger:
Amazon.com: Skiva Dual USB Port 3.1A 15w fastest PowerFlow Duo Heavy Duty Output Car Charger for iPhone 5 and other USB devices: Cell Phones & Accessories

This might not be necessary, but I was so frustrated that day because I had several calls to make in the car, and my charger couldn't even keep the phone on, so I wanted to make sure the charger was no longer a potential bottleneck.

I'll need the last_kmsg if you want me to look at it. These are saved in /data/local/tmp. The reboot should be in last_kmsg.0, but send them all if you aren't sure and you can't figure it out.

beta7 is up. This is intended to become rc1, so please let me know of any new issues or things that aren't working.

Changes since beta6:

* Reworked the kernel sources to use a single branch for all models, mainly for ease of building CM 10.1. Switched to github.com/thebigq/lge-kernel-iproj for this.

* all: Fixed kernel crash turning off bluetooth while connection attempt is in progress.

* i_vzw: Fixed eri for proper lockscreen text.

* i_vzw: Fixed voicemail to dial own number.

* all: Fixed baseband display.

* i_vzw: Cleaned up init files.

LOL, funny that's the exact USB port and a stock (the pne that came with the phone) data/charging cable that I'm using in the car. The charging "leakage" is very slow but it definitely goes the wrong way.

BTW, I am using this ROM as my daily driver and I think it is awesome! Keep up the good work tdm! Thanks soooo much!

It sounds like you didn't get a genuine gps lock, only wifi/cell tower location lock. Flash back, download gps test for the play store and get a solid lock with it. Then flash back to cm10 and do the same.

Hi Reese, I actually made sure all of the above before flashing the rom and followed the direction given carefully. However, I gave it another whirl just to say that I did. Alas, still no success and random locking/rebooting started to occur.

Frustrated with the spectrum I decided to throw it away. Verizon will not honor warranty on a 3rd device and I am not going to pay $90 for an insurance claim.

That being said I did have another spectrum laying around and decided to flash this ROM to that device. Success! This CM10 ROM works great on the Spectrum I flashed it too and GPS is perfect. Takes a little bit to get locked but nothing out of the norm from stock ICS.

I did have a question regarding the tether tool included, it seems to work but it's asking for a security key. I am not sure how to access where that key is or how that works, do you (or does anyone) have any information regarding that? I am sure I missed it in the thread and for that I am sorry inquiring again.

just go to the setting below where you turn the portable wifi on and set it open. If you are in an area where it's possible for people to steal your wifi then just change the password to whatever you want.

so i just had my first major issue and i have no idea why. anyone that has any input, its much appreciated. phone was at 6% (stock battery) and ended up dying in my pocket. it looked like it had tried to turn back on, but got stuck at the cyanogen mod boot animation. figured it needed to be charged so i plugged it in for 2 hours. tried to turn back on and got stuck at boot animation again. sometimes it turns off and attempts to restart again, other times it froze. so, i used button method to attempt to restore a backup after wiping everything. same issue occurred. did full wipe and tried to install icyfusionfinal 2.0 and still no dice. go stuck halfway through the boot animation. is there anything i can do besides a .cab restore? sorry this is ridiculously long....
EDIT: this all occured at first while i was on cm10 b6, which i dirty flashed over cm10 b5
Edit2: tried sotard to see if thatd work, it did not, froze at 4glte screen...

When this happens, hold the power button for ten seconds to reset. Then it should boot normally.
