Root [ROM] Quattrimus JB (CM10, AOKP41)

Almost forgot... try disabling hw overlays in the development options and see if that helps.

On b5 this wasnt an issue for me, however not sure why it would happen occasionally on b6. After disabling it, at least for the 14 or so hours its been disabled I have yet to see this happen. Thanks for the help tdm!

GPS still kinda funky for me.. I can lock on to the satellites initially, but in the course of a 25 minute drive, it lost signal 5 times and battery dropped from 65 to 33.

Is this kind of performance normal? Or is it time for another replacement from Verizon.
Gps doesn't drain the battery like that... Its a passive system, not active, so it works with other apps.

If you're talking about use with navigation, it's the navigation app and lte that's draining the battery.

Okay, that makes sense. I thought maybe it was because it was losing GPS signal and re-establishing it so many times.

Well, that can definitely drain more than a solid connection, but I can't imagine it would lead to the drain you saw. That was substantial.

Playing with a bluetooth keyboard today. Got it to pair but couln't actually connect. Has anyone used a bluetooth keyboard successfully?

Also, in my frustration, I turned off bluetooth while it was trying to connect. Instant reboot with a kernel BUG. /data/local/tmp/last_kmsg.0 shows this:

[ 337.314697] kernel BUG at arch/arm/mach-msm/gpiomux.c:98!

This code is verifying that the reference count on an object is not zero. The fact that it is zero indicates something tried to "put" the object twice -- similar to a double free bug. I'll try to track that down.

Ok this is awesome that you guys are getting close to perfecting the jelly bean 4.1.2 for this phone but there is one thing that happens a lot to me on every version of beta so far and its the blue flash.

Sometimes it just does it randomly and sometimes only on the notification shade. Secondly the screen flashes a lot when I'm in the lock screen and I pull down the shade.

Is this just happening to me or are there any other people who have this issue and also is there a known fix
Happens to me all the time, ive just grown to ignore it. Has caused lockscreen to freeze up for me,and then did a soft reboot. but that only happened once... and just to note, this is still ocurring on b6 for aokp41 and cm10 idk about the fix...
EDIT: Im a little late to this topic, whoops, but i tried disabling hw overlays and am still getting flashes.. is there anything i can pull from the phone for someone to look at? sorry if thats a noob question.. i just dont know what would cause screen flash, and what would be needed to try and fix... Thanks in advance!

If you have in Developer options>Don't keep activities (Force quit every activity on exiting apps) checked it will cause screen flashes too.

if screen flickering is an issue for you, go to: settings, display, automatic backlight, enable light decrease and then hystersis(could be spelled wrong...it's the last option) and change the percentage of it. just play around and see what percentage works best for you.

I get flicker mostly when on CM File Manager app. Using the bookmarks particularly.

Sometimes get it when in google maps as well.

Change the setting and that didn't seem to help much with the issues in File Manager.

Spent the day getting the kernel cleaned up for cm10.1 and fixing the crash I found the other day. Also unified the qcom boot scripts, cleaned up the device tree, and fixed the baseband version. And fixed the aokp audio and eri.xml.

Ran out of time to wrap things up so I'll be releasing a build and syncing with github tomorrow.

The next build will probably be rc1 if it works out like planned.

Build of 10.1!?!

Well i was just about to get around to flashing CM10 B6 from B5, but seeing as TDM is so close to blessing us with CM10.1, ill just have to be patient! Thanks TDM, your awesome bro!!
Quick question, the CPU freq issue... i am still running CM10 B5 and have noticed an abnormal amount of lag. this is after clearing all background running apps and a fresh reboot. is this this caused by the CPU freq issue? and will this be fixed in CM 10.1? thanks again TDM!

Might just be an issue with your phone or your setup because cm10 runs very smooth for me and I even use a live wallpaper.

I have been watching this thread develop over the past month-plus and I wondered if CM10 is a good daily driver for me. I pretty much rely on GPS and Bluetooth and I see that it seems to be hit and miss with this rom. I am wondering if I should go with ICY Fusion over this ROM for functionality until this is no longer beta. What would you all recommend for a more business based user like myself?

Thanks again to everyone whose developed for this phone. Great job, could not ask for more!

This one is daily driver status for most people. As long as you get a gps lock on a stock based rom before flashing, you'll be fine.
