Root Fixing the NFC chip

So I think i found a way to fix the "bricked" nfc chip that happens when someone doesn't read that's thread (yea confusing, I know :rofl: )

If anyone has bricked their NFC chip, feel free to contact me via PM to test my theory :)
 
Thanks Sammyz! I'll keep and eye out on this thread. If we don't have any issues, I'll probably pull my stick down soon.
 
I'm almost positive this is not an issue since google moved wallet to the cloud. I don't reset wallet anymore and I've wiped multiple times, including doing a full factory image reflash/relock bootloader/reroot on my nexus 10 when I lost my recovery and couldn't get rid of the recovery flag in bootloader. (huge pain) but yeah wallet/nfc chip still works on my n10, still works on my n4, still works on my old evo4glte that now belong to my friend.

I'm all but certain the secure element is no longer in play
 
On my replacement N4 this is all that happens... I am never able to add my card. My N7 works without a problem.. My first N4 I was able to use Wallet until my phone bricked and wasn't able to restore my backup because it corrupted.. So had to re flash full stock Image and that broke the secure element in the first one and after that Wallet never worked again. I got a replacement because I thought that was the way to go but this one never worked either..

Is it the same error?
As the old one?
 
Similar but its not the same .. The old one just kept giving me different errors (can't remember). The replacement tells me "add card failed" and now since the updated wallet the one in the pic comes out. Tried adding several different cards and they never work. I go to my N7 and I can add all of them. Not really sure what it could be
