NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well its not completely off topic as you have the latest recovery;););)

RX, Don't I need to be htc unlocked first? Or can I just go for it? I'm still trying to get the hTC token.

I dont think so  Its been like 6 months though... I need to re-read teh guide

no you do not. it is in the dirty racun that you will at step 10 need to unlock it, but not before then. read the guide if you want to get s-off. but since you have unocked the bootloader then you can proceed from there.

TeamWin updated TWRP to 2.4.1.0 so that the touch screen will now work with the new firmware that HTC sent out yesterday.
If you took the OTA yesterday then after you root again the TWRP touch wouldn't work. Hence the update since you couldn't do anything in Recovery.

I haven't tried it yet myself but Captain Throwback mentioned it on XDA and Goo manager shows that as the newest one.

Oh and to go with my OT stuff yesterday, EarlyMon, thanks for letting me bug you yesterday morning. And Thanks for the help.:D

So I just backed up my rom and tried to flash a new one.
I wiped cache, dalvick, factory reset, and system three times each. I went to flash a sense rom but it stopped part way through and went to the HTC screen.

So I moved 2.3.1.0 over to my sd card and went down to that one. I should have tried to restore my nandroid but didn't think of it until after.

so when you downgraded the recovery did it work? not sure why that would be. what rom did it have before? what rom are you trying to flash now? you are s-on unlocked, correct?

I tried flashing Cho's inverted rom and then I wiped again after doing a b"battery pull" and tried with Badseed's JB rom. It did the same thing.

I flashed 2.3.1.0 from bootloader and have now flashed 2 rom's. The Badseed and then PAC-Man. I'm setting up PAC-Man now. Very nice.

hmmmmm weird.

well pacman is an awesome rom. i love it.

Were the roms on your sd card?

Did you download them again or use the same zip image with 2.3.1.0?

Did you fastboot flash the new TWRP or use Goo Manager?

FWIW - and I don't know if this is helpful - at the first sign of new-TWRP trouble, I download, verify md5, and fastboot flash the new stuff. It's happened to me once before, that cured it.

They were on my internal storage.
I've flashed the Badseed file before.

I updated with Goo.im. from 2.4.0.0 to 2.4.1.0

So I did not check the MD5 of TWRP.

I'll look for a new 2.4.1.0 file then and try to flash through boot loader. It won't be until next week though.

You can download it straight from twrps site

Ran into problem trying to flash latest meanbean on the latest TWRP, installed through Goo. Didn't backup 2.8 and had to revert to a pretty old backup, it just goes straight to the quietly brilliant screen and does nothing else. I'm stuck at 0.6 right now.

Hmmm, looks like they havent placed the newest recovery on the list as a PJ75IMG yet. Actually the last couple were never updated on their site.

I wonder why?

So, i finally updated my Recovery to 2.4.0.0 from the 2.3.1.0 I was running since last week.

I have the toughest time getting ADB to work so I flashed the .img through Terminal emulator. Works pretty slick. I liked it. I wanted to flash with a PJ zip but the newest one of those is 2.3.1

Edit: Maybe it didn't work as well as I thought. I'm not able to back up to or install from external storage now. Huh. Weird. I guess it's back to 2.3.1 since it works.

Or is 2.4.1 working fine for everyone now? Or do I need to be on a Sense 3.16 rom for it?

i have no issues with 2.4.0 which is what i'm on right now. i do have plans to upgrade, but i think i will wait.
