Root [DEV][ROM][ALPHA][WIP] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Esteem 4g LG-MS910

Hey guys jus updated to the Galaxy S3 today, sorry esteem community. Any way PG and IDrifta got 2 esteems im willing to donate to the cause or use for testing, let me know. their less than a month old. I would still like to help with testing icecream sandwich

Seems the Esteem community is a lot closer than I thought lol. Thinking of upgrading from this phone sometime soon as well, waiting for the S4 and the "X Phone" though.
 
I also want to add that I had a esteem and look forward to cm but I also jump into the s3 the esteem got old quick and at this point is kind of too late in the game for the esteem I'm not taking anything away from pg and the cm project but I also think is a little too late

Yea at this point its just to try and finish it because I said I would and then convert to the revo.

Hard to believe I started on ics a year ago and still got nadda. lol

Has anyone noticed metro is still selling the esteem for 375 bucks?

I was looking at the other phones... awesome deals out there on phones that seem to be superior to the esteem as far as hardware and software are concerned. Was trying to figure out what the story is... but the only conclusion I could come up with is.....

THE ESTEEM FAMILY IS SUPERIOR TO ALL, AND METRO/LG KNOW THAT PG IS HARD AT WORK FOR US.

Yep, thats what made me by the Esteem a month after it was out.. Saw the community and the people that were here and moving over from the Ascend (PG was dev'n CM7 on the ascend, got me into my flash addiction *stayed on topic kinda too :D ) the SG3 may have JB ROM's, and other phones may outperform the Esteem and that but I am perfectly happy stickin with the Esteem just because of the community.. *Thug hugs for all of ya* :D

I just called LG customer care, they claim that this device is dead to ICS. All the so called claims to have actual upgrade to ICS is false, and they have no desire to upgrade to it. I asked about the LG Spirit, since it shares the same specs as the Esteem, except for the fact that its dual core. LG Spirit 4G | Android Smartphone | No Contract - MetroPCS In case your wondering what LG Spirit is. As the post before this, I to can't understand why the Esteem is still selling so much. I have to admit, after having phone for over a year, it still runs great (rooted and #2). My wife has gone through so many phones and has spent more on her phones combined then I have spent on just my Esteem. The added bonus of ICS/CM10 would be kick ass, but I guess time will tell. On other notes, I have tried to install CM10 and I get errors within the install process, doesn't even let me even get to installing google apps. I am using #2 v2.4 / BlitzKrieg's kernel 2.6.35.7. Anyone else getting install errors?
 
You are correct the reason the phone is still this price is the card you have to put in it to perform a 4g . If you read up or contact lg they will explain to you that your device is already unlock and can't be used but a cdma device and only metro and verizon are the only companies . Without the the lte card the phone is shitz out of luck and need to be programed with a new card ..that's why we need to give pg his props and space cause without him we wont be able to do anything ..just face it u got a turtle shell in your pocket and its called a lg esteem :eek::D:p:rolleyes:

Being dual core makes the spirit a 8660 or better, and a completely different beast than the esteem. ;)
