Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Hey all, hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. I made my lady a dinner of baked chicken crusted with pepperjack and bacon, and beer-battered cheddar cheese bites; then for dessert, caramel apple tartlets and vanilla ice cream with caramel syrup. :)

Sorry, no pics - we ate it all too fast ;)

Three things:
1. That picture of the bacon wrapped maple bar is killing me! Oh my, that looks good!
2. It's been 2 years(almost), and I need to change the greeting on my voicemail and I cannot retrieve HOW from my brain. Stock phone. On Verizon.
3. I need to sync my phone with Outlook for work. Not happening. I've read that many have had problems since jellybean, but I refuse to believe that this magnificent telecommunications device cannot conquer all.
As always, Grandma thanks you.

Grandma:
1. Thanks! It's from a place out in Portland called Voodoo Donuts. Never been though.
2. IIRC, dial #67 and go through the menus. (it could be *67 though?)
3. Can't help ya there, I know nothing about Outluck. :(

TGIF Folks...!!!

Russian Meteor? Or Meteor Surprise in Russia..?

And to Grandmadroid:
1: I completely agree!!

3: I sync my Nexus to Exchange/Outlook using the built in Email app. I have several accounts that I connect, and have not had any issues. When I am at work, I have it set to NOT push the notifications to me. When I am not at work, I have it set to push the notifications, and I can respond at that point. Makes it easy, and much better on battery life!!

I am running JDX(JellyBelly) v13.0, and Lean Kernal 5.8.2 exp and still getting a full days use out of the phone. Still love that ROM!

Good morning grandma, I have used gsyncit flawlessly for a couple of years. No issues on Jellybean.

Yeah I saw that meteor story and went, uhoh, some scientists screwed that orbital path up BAD, then saw it wasn't the asteroid that everyone has been talking about. :p

So forgot my phone at my desk, so now get to go through 4 hours of class without it

Dreadnatty gives you the perfect opening line, with his meat basket line and and nobody bites?

Did you watch SNL's Justin Timberlake take on My D*#% in a box?

And Grandmadroid, I'm on a hosted exchange with Mailstreet that pushes EVERYTHING to my Nexus. yeah it sucks the battery dry in 12 hours, but you get all your data no matter where, no matter when. It runs about 25 a month, but there are cheaper hosted exchanges. Mailstreet also does tech support in english if that matter to you.

Hoping BB isn't in the house, but is it acceptable to get the lady a "meat basket" for Valentine's day? :p:D
Going to head up to this place for the first time. She looked over what they offer and wanted it all! Wondering if they can put something together for me.

So it seems TeamSourcery released their 4.2.2 last night in the Experimental section. I've never used the Experimental section before - does it truly Install right on top or do we need to flash?

I live in Portland! Grandsons go to VooDoo often. If I thought it would hold up, I could send you one in the mail!;)

Stigy, it's an experimental ROM based on 4.2.2 so it's a full wipe ROM. Backup everything! Make sure you flash the update as well, and NO INVERTED GAPPS with this one :)

Well, I'm going to give Eclipse a try. I've been stock for I don't know how long, and I'm not real big into a ton of customization, but I'm tired of being behind. From what I can tell it's the closest to stock.

Pup, AOKP has been really good for me the past couple days, give it a shot.
I was on Eclipse on my N7 and found it stuttered considerably (yes, it was a clean install).

Well, I'll see how this goes for a day or so. I just got signed in, restore my apps and data and see how it goes. Did AOKP get rid of that pink unicorn?

Ha! That's when I got scared I screwed something up when I didn't see the unicorn!
I'm assuming they did, but I believe in settings you can revert back to it if you like. ;)

I was just checking the thread. I'll see how it goes. I still got it, can flash a rom in one hand and drink coffee in another.:D

Good morning folks!

Flashing JB Sourcery 4.5.5 Experimental now. I imagine that 4.6 might be the last JBS ROM before Key Lime Pie comes out... I mean, will there be an Android 4.3? Even 4.2.3?

That's interesting because I haven't experienced that on either device I've run eclipse on. Guess it didn't agree with your device kind of like how jelly belly never agreed with my Gnex.

My N7 has barely any apps on it (maybe 20?) and I use perhaps a couple at a time with only 3 accounts syncing. Don't know which build of Eclipse it was, just found it slow.

Certainly is odd, maybe it was the kernel. In one part build the dev baked his own kernel into it which I didn't like and ended up flashing lean kernel and that fixed a lot of things.

You know what I love about my job? Last night we were told they are shutting off the steam today to work on something. So that means no heat today. Oh, and dress warm. Tonight is going to suck.

It's cool that Sourcery has a 4.2.2 exp build out there. I'm still waiting on Eclipse, I know he started the merger 2 days ago so it's only a matter of time.

Stay warm, halon!

Should be interesting, getting a good amount of rain today, and supposed to get really cold tonight. Probably have to deal with some ice in the morning. :p
