Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Good morning all - happy almost Friday.

Congrats BB on the smoking - I have heard how hard it is to stay off it.

Happy Valentine's Day to all those who "celebrate" today - going to a delicious Italian place (that's BYOB) tonight with the lady.

Well, non smartphone related, but I really enjoyed this review (and especially the video) of the new Tesla:
Going the distance: driving the Tesla Model S in the real world | The Verge
Those guys over at the Verge really put together some of the best video reviews out there.
The Verge really does some of the best video reviews I have ever seen - they have a really great team over there.

BTW we have a Tesla store in our mall, pretty crazy to see.

Funny how he closes out the video saying these cars are $50, 60, 70K when the first sentence in the video says it's a $100k car!
Either way, I'm pretty sure I don't want a 17" computer screen in my dash. ;)
Don't post on AF and drive is my motto. :)

But you know someone will be tweeting every move they make as they drive and then rear end someone else.

Facebook just talked my into a buying a gift for Janie - I went to her profile and it's like "Why not buy Janie a gift?" so I did.

It was only $3 gummy bears but they just make it SO easy.

Oh well.

Yeah, the 17" screen in the dash is too much, and pretty clear their mileage estimates are way inflated. But tesla is the only automaker that makes an electric car with enough range to make it interesting. I hope they succeed.

Steven, i'm sorry for your horrific nightmare last night.

So i get my first farm bag today, curious to see what the quality is like. I doubt the fresh strawberries will make it home ;)

Anti, are you part of a CSA?
I've really wanted to join one, but we just don't cook or eat enough food at home to justify it. :(

Not exactly. It's similar, but I pay by the bag, as opposed to becoming a partner. This one is 4-5 lbs of produce every other week, for $22. You can choose weekly or biweekly, with three different bag sizes. Plus all kinds of extras, milk, eggs, cheese, bread, all local farmers.

This week my bag has cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, oranges, strawberries, hydroponic lettuce. It was also supposed to have sweet potatoes, but no one eats them in my house, so I swapped them for extra of the other stuff.

Sounds great! We have tons of options here in the District with many farms delivering weekly to multiple locations (generally one of the farmer's markets). We had a friend join one last year and she got all kinds of fantastic produce, and I believe she could supplement it with cheese, grains, dairy too.

I had a dream, last night. In it, I upgraded to an iPhone! What did this mean? I felt so dirty.
Nooooooooooooooo:ahhhhh:

We got ours yesterday. I wish we got some of the dairies in ours. It's just veggies.

Yeah, I am hoping we can expand our veggie intake this way, we always end up doing the same few things.

Their cheeses sound fantastic too, I might try some of them from time to time.

If it's what she wants, anything is fair game IMO.

My wife wanted to see a Braves game for our anniversary one year. Twist my arm ;)
