You have to place the bootanimation file in /system/media. Make sure you've set a loop counter for it otherwise you're gonna be stuck in an infinite loop.

I tried it out this morning and it works great! Very crisp, very clean!

Curious, though - does the lack of mobile data settings mean that mobile data doesn't work?
Weird question, I know, but I currently live where I don't get a great data signal so I can't tell if it's the phone or my location.

edit: got a 3G signal finally, so apparently my question was useless! :rolleyes:

ok, can anyone move to sd? or can you only link to sd? i need to actually move one but all i can do is link...i need more than 2gb available space and the phone has less than that so i need to move haha
 
Most everything is working great so far, I installed the Google Apps package in the OP and it installed smoothly and so far no problems!

Although I have noticed a bug in the Wallpaper settings, if you try to set a lock screen wallpaper, there is no option to choose from.

It's not really a problem for me, but I thought I'd report it to you!
 
i tried to install your rom following the instructions but ii got a signature failed error and it aborted instlation. any idea how to fix this issue?
 
Another guy here jumping from an Optimus V with CM9 to the Reverb with your rom. It works great besides the bugs that were already mentioned. Thanks for the work you put into this, it's a great stop gap until someone ports CM10.

Ive been runnin this for a couple weeks, Had zero problems.
the Apollo and Beats sounds, works great, use everynight.
phone is much snapper without a doubt.

Hello everyone! Glad to hear everyone is enjoying my ROM. Unfortunately, I haven't worked on this ROM because there are evil people in this world (someone stole my laptop charger at school -_- fortunately, it wasn't the laptop itself that was stolen. I should be receiving a new charger in a couple of days)

Hey did you get your laptop back? If you did, are you going to update this rom with bug fixes and what not? Either way this is a great rom thanks!
 
Nice rom..can this install without having to root my phone also can reverb support mhl/hdmi cause I'm recently just bought one for it try w a vizio flat screen 1080p does not working,your answer will be appreciate thanks

On the bright side, it wasn't anything major and I have a working laptop again.

I don't believe the reverb had mhl/html support. You need to root to install this ROM.

That's an issue with the messaging app itself and how it receives the messages. I plan to either replace it or decompile it to fix it.

Hello wonderful Reverb Community! Sorry for the absence and not updating the ROM. This being my last year in high school, I have a lot going on (more than what I expected) and I haven't had time to mess with this ROM and I probably won't be able to for a while so don't expect updates. I highly encourage y'all to make your own ROMs so we can speed the development because as of late it's been slow. The second post on this thread seems to be helpful.

Also, for those who do decide on making a custom ROM, a good base is Stock ROM plus and if you any questions, you can either message me or google it (google was recommended since I won't be able to get on often).

I believe you need to decompile framework-res.apk, go to /res/xml/eri.xml. Replace "Virgin Mobile" in line 7 with whatever you want. (Remember I haven't really tried this method so it may or may not work)
 
Good news everyone. I finally have a good amount of free time to work on it. Changes will include theming the phone, contacts, & downloads app to stock android theme. I also plan to finish theming some of the apps that I left unfinished. There will definitely be fixes for the bugs that are currently there. Lastly, I may even include some more mods. v1.1 will be coming to a reverb near you!
