Root help haven power probs with evo4g that have been rooted

no no wiping only dalvic cache and cache will not wipe data or settings. it only wipes temp files. sometimes these files can pile and and get corrupted. if you get weird bugs, glitches, or bad battery drain then sometimes wiping dalvik cache and cache will fix it. it should always be the first thing you do to trouble shoot.

i would wipe dalvik cache and cache on both phones and see if that helps. but i think your wife's phone sounds more like a new battery is needed.

Try the battery switch and see if her phone improves at all before flashing a different rom....seems the easiest thing to do..otherwise, purchase a new battery:)

k i well try with my batt and see if that works

and you are saying no to getting new rom sent i would be starting over or are you saing now to a app that or a dianostic app ro setting that well alow me to check that status of it

well i was saying no to your thoughts on wiping(dalvik cache and cache). it does not wipe data and is very safe to do. it should always be the first thing you do to trouble shoot issues and not as a last resort.

oh i already didi that as i had said in my post

i thought ou was tell me befor when i started the post i was told i my have to wipe and reinstail the rom it self and ithought that what you was getting at

ok so again yes or no.......after wiping dalvik cache and cache in recovery, you are still getting the issues you described above?

on her phone yes

ok so then it sounds like your wife's phone most likely is a battery issue.

the issue on your phone sounds more like a software issue. i would try and wipe dalvik cache and cache and see if that helps. if not you should try and wipe dalvik cache and cache and re-flash the rom. again this will not wipe data so your settings will be safe.

or you can try and do a full wipe (that means everything but the sd card) and flash a rom of your choice.

if that does not fix the issue then it might be a hardware issue.

k i am going ot let are batts charge again and chenge them to see if that if it is the batt or not with hers

i got a new batt i order from amazon the titels clames it was completely brand new. so i got it i have had the batt in her phone for about 4 or 5 days it seams to be working just fine after a ful charge. so i let the phone die completely so give it a nother full charge last night and now i cant get the phone to power on at all the led light keeps flashing orange none stop. so i put the batt in my phone and i get same result. so i put her old batt back in and it powered on and shows that it is chargeing

A completely dead battery will do just as you indicate (flashing and not working) until it gets a chance to charge a bit. I've seen it take 5 minutes, but I guess it could take a bit longer in some cases. How long did you leave it both phones?

humm well i am sure it was dead from last night i beleave how ever i am not sure as of that would have to ask my wife

as far as me looking at it this moreing she talk me what it was doing and thats when i start the adventer this morning

yeah a completely dead battery.....which i never recommend doing by the way.....will take a bit more charge time. i should blink a bit and then it should start charging. if not then something is wrong again with the battery.
