w.r.t Incredible pricing, I can see them shifting prices down to let the Incredible take the top tier, and the Droid then filling the place of the Eris. The $20 AmazonWireless thing is only a temporary sale.

Nothing is ever "confirmed", but from the memo matching up with current released ad guides, and seeing shipments for an android phone valued at $599 to be received on 4/25 and sold on 4/29 in their computer. One can only assume that it is legit. We don't have any evidence to the contrary at least.
 
Another thought about the release... Verizon just announced that their Android phones can now stream form the NFL network. The 1st round of the NFL draft begins on Thursday, April 1st and will be streamed to Andriod phones. It would make sense for the Incredible to be out to take advantage of this.

Also, relating to sports, this week Verizon is sponsoring the Verizon Heritiage PGA golf tournament. Maybe we hear an announcement around the tournament this weekend and a launch occurs right before the NFL draft? Just an idea...

Yes, I confirmed it yesterday that the ad shows the exact VZW phones that the BB documentation had. :D
 
Seeing as how they have already had the Droid out on a BOGO deal, its fairly obvious that Verizon will release the HTC Incredible at the $199 - $249 price point and the Droid will be moved down to the $99 Droid Eris price point.
 
Great. So now we are going to have 10 pages of posts about anon shutting down the thread. That is soooo much more entertaining than 10 pages of yelling, bitch slaps, and hair pulling.......:rolleyes:
 
So, it's been determined that a source of the poor image quality of the AMOLED screen for the N1 was a design choice made by Google for the gallery software: Google Nexus One versus Motorola Droid Display Shoot-Out

Basically, the site compared Gallery 2.1 to Gallery 2.0 on the Droid, and are now declaring it to be a software issue (not driver/hardware related).

I think it's a pretty good hunch that the Incredible will have the same "issue" too. Honestly, I'm not too worried about it - no one complained about the text until they started nitpicking stats, and I don't use my phone for photo viewing :-)

If he's not doing a good job of this, that's a different story - but assuming he is this system should work fine and is how this thread will work for the remainder of its life. It will be closed when the device is officially available.

2. With that said, don't purposely just try to piss off those that don't much like #1 just by flooding the thread with stupid postings.. that's just plain rude. At least TRY to not go overboard with #1. As a favor to me.

3. Please continue to report people who are being rude, harassing others, or posting things that are against the rules etc. Please stop reporting off-topic posts.

4. Bickering. I know it is hard but please resist. Or at least refrain from drawing it out too long. A couple back-n-forths and be done. This isn't a stomping ground, and seriously - most fights someone doesn't bow out and withdraw deciding to take the other side. Just agree to disagree and move on. Report fights that have gone on for more than a couple posts.

The Pimp is messin with you! If you go to Best Buy you don't have to worry about mail-in rebates. An authorized retailer will often take it off if you haggle with them.
