I am rooted, everything else is stock. I am thinking about installing a custom rom, most notebly CyanogenMod 10.1 - Android 4.2.2 - Jellybean. From what I gather, recoveries are unique to each kernal if I have that right? Do I need to install a kernal with recovery for the mentioned rom above, if I do, which one, this is a aosp rom. Also, what about a modem, do I need a different modem. I am coming from the htc evo v and when I flashed roms, we didn't have to deal with different recoveries and modems. Also, I have done a nandroid back up on this stock rom, as long as I use aosp roms, I can use the kernal I installed when I rooted (current) right?? And if I decide to go back to stock rom, I don't have to do anything but just flash the rom then?? I just want to make sure I have this right, don't need to brick my phone. Also, if I have to flash a different recovery, when exactly do I need to flash that??
I am on the xda site for this rom and it says flash recovery and modem if required, how do I know if its required?? I have been reading the thread and don't see anywhere where it says its required??
