Root [ROM][ALPHA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Connect 4G MS840

Data works after letting the phone sit for a while. Only 1x works!!! Could the fact that the ROM has 84 different apns be a problem?

nah its just getting it to use the MetroPCS one. lol

Some one try settings > mobile network settings > CDMA Subscription > RUIM/SIM.
 
I'm trying to access APNs using the voice dialer. I can get to the menu, though it's completely empty, can't get any to stick. Hmmm... Do you really need a paid app to see these?
 
I was able to remove all other apns by copying the apns-conf.xml file to my computer and opening with notepad and deleting all other apns. Then I replaced both apn-conf.xml files with mines. the one at system/etc/apns-conf.xml and the one at etc/apns-conf.xml. make sure you fix permissions for both files.

they both appear to been the same, so that prolly didnt make a diff.

Tested it?
 
Now I only have Metro's Apns. Before I used to have 84 of them!!!! Now I just have to find a way to select which one to use.

yea, but it be getting selected auto magically, thats the issue its not getting selected and/or read.

I mean what you are doing might get it working for you or anyone that wants to follow suite, but wont help fix the issue out of the box. ;)


0309a on goo btw, rear camera working.
 
The system won't display the apns. APN manager fc when you try to change anything but at least it gives me a list of the apns available that way I know the changes I'm making are sticking. Jellybean doesn't support third party apns managers that's why it keeps force closing.
 
I have faith that it will be fully functional very soon, I mean its so damn close and some issues are getting fixed pretty fast because of all the ppl that are testing/working on this. I can only assume that even more ppl are going to come and help out and finish this Biiah off ;) and then we can all see thier names on the Thanks List for making this all possible when MANY said it wouldnt/couldnt happen, let the skills and courage push us to greatness :D

I have no doubt that it will work eventually. Playfulgod always comes through. I just have to work on my patience!!!!! I want to use this ROM as my main ROM so bad!!!!! Is driving my nuts not being able to use data. Lol
 
You kept saying it would happen it would happen.

well .. I downloaded some apps while connected to "1x" @ 1.5Mb/sec .. 1x maxes out around 150 - 170Kb/sec so we may be connected to EvDO while it says 1x

I'm getting ready to install and check this out. it would be hilarious if it says 1x but is running at 3G :o
 
So far, no data. Also, 0309a would not enable wifi. had to wipe and install 0309. still waiting for 1x to show up. Loving the speediness, though!
