Root P.A.C.MAN Update

So I'm running G60's rom and I want to flash the acid audio mods and I read through all of this and it does seem quite difficult. I don't want to be annoying or anything with going over this again but all I have to do is.....

1. boot into the recovery after clean install of ROM
2. wipe cache & dalvik
3. Flash 2802 then 2805
4. wipe dalvik
5. reboot
6. do method 2 in terminal emulator
7. reboot

Then after all of that it should be installed correctly? Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks for the help in advance.

The official procedure also has a reset of permissions in recovery after the cache+dalvik wipe.

I did all of the steps. Am I supposed to delete the music fx apk? I remember seeing something about that.
 
Woot!!! Before I download and flash the VM build, can anyone confirm MMS working? Or do we still need to add these two lines to the build.prop like in previous build?

Why not download and open the build.prop? ;) Im still on the 3/14 build. Pi build? Yes please. And it all works...so i see no need to change builds.
 
Just downloaded it. Internet is surprisingly fast today :P Opened the build.prop and saw that cmb made some changes. those lines were added with the Virgin Mobile after "alpha" instead of sprint. I think he fixed it! Thanks CMB!!

I concur. It feels the smoothest! MMS has been fixed.:p Definitely CMB's best build for VM to date.

It worked at first for me and tested it while driving today but then lost signal and wouldn't restore on its own. Shut it off and it came back up but would lose signal again. I flashed the fix and never had a problem after that.

this Rom was always one of my faves. last one I tried the superuser seemed broken. I think ill flash the latest and get my fix for flashing....

I never had that problem with the app hanging there. However, with this rom, there's a bug that if you press something at the bottom of the screen, it's a hit or miss. You would have to aim slightly above the "accept" button for it to hit it, if not it will do nothing and maybe that got you thinking it hangs?
 
ya. you are probably right. The touch screen calibration was a little off...any way to fix and is this a issue with the current build

It's been an issue ever since the PIE control being incorporated into the rom. I've read on XDA that it might be caused by the PIE control at the bottom of the screen, and if you go to Settings and disable PIE control, it would fix it. I haven't done that though.
