Updated OP with more deliciousness.

@philvella - i believe you can, but it'll be buried somewhere in either the /res/values xml's or /res/layout xml's.

A BIG THANK YOU Samson Inc. for this theme:D:D!! The red clock and icons look much better with my orange theme than the stock light blue:D I would love to see this theme in orange:D I am very new to Android and never edited XML/APK files. I am assuming it is NOT easy to edit these files:( Is there any kind of guide for editing these files? I would like to try to edit this theme:p

@garrytipler - use Font Installer by JRummy. It can be found in the play store. Be sure to go to system settings and look for font under display. Any font you download and install will overwrite the Roboto font, but that name will remain. Simply select that font and your downloaded one will be used.

Jerry - its not easy at first, but once you know what you're looking for, it can be less of a chore. I posted a few pointers and links on the first page of this thread and other threads. Just read up and practice.

YOU ANT KIDDING:banghead: It took me some time to install APK-Multi-Tool:p:confused: I got your SystemUI.apk and used APK-Multi-Tool to extract the file... WOW There are ALLOT of files in there:eek::confused::p I see that SystemUI.apk looks to be a universal file(there are lots of different sized icons). Is all I need to do is edit the red .png files with MS Paint? Or do I need to edit the XML too? I installed Notepad++ and I still get allot of funky letters/symbols. Is there a special setting to get the XML to display right in Notepad++?

Did you download the XML package for notepad + +?

Hey all. If youre having trouble with apk multi tool, try looking into Virtuous Ten Studio. I have only played with it a tiny bit, so I cant help with any issues with that.

What folder are these xml's in that youre editing? In my little experience, the xml's you're looking for are in the /res/layout and /res/values folders.

I went to plugins now and installed XML Tools and I still get allot of funky letters/symbols:p:confused: Is there some other "XML package for notepad + +" that I need?

You can tell that I am NEW to this:p:p:p:p My first time in Multitool I used "1 Extract apk". After some Googling, I see that I need to use "9 Decompile apk":p Now I can edit the xml files:D:rolleyes:

Totally awesone. Someone saw me on my phone today and asked HOW DID YIOU DO THWT? XD

Love it thanks.

Hey guys, been a while. For those of you looking to theme, I must recommend Virtuous Ten Studios. It disassembles and reassembles, and even pushes, for you. It also shows you the color of hex codes as you change them.

i got all three on my phone looks really nice :) thanks! you should change the color of the dialer though so its not jus red and black while on the phone call :o

I edited some xml files. When I try to compile the SystemUI.apk in Multitool I get a looooong error log. Here is the end of it:

C:\APK-Multi-Tool\other\..\projects\SystemUIOrg.apk\res\values\public.xml:591: error: Public symbol drawable/vzw_stat_sys_data_connected_g_nodata declared here is not defined.

This error was caused by me editing the png files using Micro$oft Paint:(

When installed GIMP, I went back to my original SystemUI.apk that came with my ROM(Motion Collab Ver 3.0) because this modified SystemUI.apk got tooooooo messed up when I used Micro$oft Paint:mad::(:o. Like the cute Android battery?:D

Thank you:D! You are the one that pointed me in the right direction:D The notification/status bar was the only thing that I did not like about this phone because of the light blue icons/clock. I am not fully happy with the grays... Will change them to black... Now I just need to dig into the Avast App and change font color... Is there anything special I need to know before digging into a App?

nothing comes to mind. just decompile and edit the same way. it might be more complex, but the principals are the same. I did try to black out Swype. it would recompile, but when i reinstalled it, it would FC. Just make sure you have a backup of the original apk.
